Shortage off staff scheduled. Apparently the new norm. Receptionist must do everything.
Wi-fi disconnecting all the time.
Staff could not get Netflix to work.
They informed us that they can only speak to Jacky; the manager on Monday to sort this out.
Wrong TV remote in room.
DSTV Channels. ONLY 10 channels available: 2 radio channels; 2 soccer channels; 2 Not working channels; African church channel; Sky news; e-tv; Mzansi. NO movie channel. How was this decision made?
Toilet seat broken.
Extractor fans not working in bathroom. Very dark bathroom.
No milk or coffee in the room. 1 packet of peanuts and I guess the other packet of peanuts was eaten by someone else, evidence was lying next to the table on the floor.
Room service: Food arrived without lids, just open plates. Cold.
No salt or pepper or any sauces with breakfast. Tasteless.
Worst Steak and chips ordered for the evening. Was not medium as ordered. Well done; dry and tasteless. Only received a small bakkie with tomato sauce.
When calling reception, you just don't get answer. Which is understandable if the receptionist needs to do ALL the work. They really try and sort out stuff with the limited resources available.

I've stayed here before, and could not believe what we have experienced this time around. You still pay the normal prices for staying in the comfort of a hotel, just to get this absolutely disgusting experience.

The rooms are spacious
It will be nice to have a stove and oven in the kitchenette or make it a full kitchenette. Capetown restaurants are pricey😂
Sadly the entire area had a water interruption for 36 hours about 12 hours after our arrival which made things difficult. Perhaps the facility needs to look at using the mains water supply to feed 4 x 10 000L tanks and for the water for the facility to come from a pressure pump from the tanks. Where there is a water interruption, which will start to happen more frequently in the Western Cape as the population exceeds the water source, there will still be water in the hotel. So this affected the start of our stay. But everything was perfect.
I believe the kitchen/bar needs to be marketed better by offering lunches etc to outside guests. There is a lot of income to be generated by this. Have regular happy hours.
I think an infinity type swimming pool in the area where the chess set is contained may also be a great idea.
It is quiet, peaceful and close to the beach ⛱️.
The fact that there were no fridge in the room,, thus, I would like to propose, small bar fridges in rooms.Netflix off, only limited dstv channels.

Aircon was broken in room 219, died of heat in the evening
