Nice hidden gem in the old part of Bakersfield
Pros:

It's a really nice older property, b ut upkept really well. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and friendly at the desk and in the restaurant. I wish the old fine dining restaurant was still here.

Cons:

The lighting in the bathroom in the room was horrible. You can barley see the mirror above the sink let alone trying to get ready in there. Too bad too, because the bathroom and shower are very nice. just seriously needs a vanity light, they were trying to be a little to chic when it came to the lighting design, but missed the boat.

My room was very spacious, bed was very large and comfortable and the shower was amazing

Maybe a better coffee pot and microwave in the room

I stayed here to break up the trip driving to LA into two days. Everybody from the valet to the weight staff in the rest
Pros:

I love the way they remodeled this building. The Art, the floors, while keeping the historic charm. Really nicely done.

Cons:

It would’ve been nice if the rooftop was open, but that’s OK

Fabulous! I'm coming back and recommending to everyone!
Pros:

Seriously the best hotel in Bakersfield! We loved our stay and will absolutely be coming back.
The restaurant was so amazing as well. The front desk staff were beyond incredible. Sarah at the front went above and beyond my expectations and was so helpful! I called her my hero! Raise for her please!

Cons:

Valet guy could definitely act a little more interested in doing his job. Maybe also open the door for people, if that doesnt take him away from playing on his phone.

The bathrooms were so cool. Very nice. But I took a shower in the evening and in the middle of the night, the shampoo and body wash bottles fell off the wall in the shower. Scared the heck out of me. The condensation from the shower must have caused the tacky strip on the bottles to lose their grip from the wall. I feel like there could be a better way to mount them.

Awesome Place!!!
Pros:

This hotel is a hidden GEM!! Front desk staff Gia & Sarah were warm and welcoming. The suggested awesome restaurants and the paces close by. The rooms are super comfy. I would 1000% ( thousand ) recommend this hotel

Beautiful historic hotel
Pros:

The Padre Hotel never disappoints! This is always our first choice. When we are visiting family in Bakersfield. The hotel is clean and the lobby is luxurious. We love the marble staircase with the original tiles. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant was fantastic. Our waitress in the restaurant was darling.!! Super busy but so cheerful and even remembered my drink from previous day! The gals at the front desk were helpful when I had questions they provided notch service. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bakersfield.
