Great job Padre hotel!! From checking in to checking out fabulous service. Bradee was fantastic. She paid attention and addressed all of our needs, as well as handled everything patiently and with a smile. Thank you for making us feel welcome and for great service.

I have been traveling to Bakersfield for over 8+ years for buinsess and was lucky to have found the Padre hotel! The rooms are so yummy, I feel like I am in another country on a big vacation not a work trip! In fact, I purchased the sheets they are so comfy! the decor, the food, the staff are all 5 star. Thank you for making my work trips not feel like work but like coming to my favorite get away!

The Padre is a wonderful hotel that always makes you feel welcome. This was our date night spot for years, before we moved away, and we were excited to return and stay there.
Great experience
Great service
Everyone was nice and friendly looking forward to our next visit . Totally recommend anyone to stay here
Stayed at the Padre Hotel recently and had a great experience. The hotel has a lot of character and a cool downtown vibe that makes it feel different from the typical chain hotels. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff was friendly from check-in to check-out. I also enjoyed the restaurants and atmosphere around the property. Whether you’re visiting Bakersfield for work or a weekend getaway, the Padre is a great place to stay. Looking forward to coming back.
Dobry standard hotelu. Wygodne łóżko. Personel uprzejmy i pomocny.
When we arrived for our anniversary evening, we utilized the valet service. The valet was super helpful and very courteous to us. We made our way to the front desk, and we're delighted to find that the customer support was brilliant. Check-in was easy, and we made our way up to the room. Phone walking in the room we noticed the cleanliness of it all, remarking at what a beautiful woman was. Even with the shower voyeurism lol.
We had some time to kill before dinner, so we decided to lounge about, however, that's when we noticed the issues. The bed is entirely too hard, and felt like we were laying on a stiff board. The water reservoir for the toilet would occasionally, every 5 to 10 minutes, lose water level. The float in the back would sink down, causing it to try to refill. When this happened, the mechanism would shrink loudly for about 10 seconds.
With our dinner reservation coming due, we made our way downstairs and informed the front desk of the issue with the toilet. There was no reason to complain about the bed, it was what it was. The staff assured me that they would have a maintenance person investigate. My wife and I made our dinner reservation, and returned with hopes of the toilet being fixed.
Upon initial return, we heard no noises. However, after about an hour after our return, the noises returned. We resolved ourselves to just endure the noise, putting on ocean sounds on our phones to drown it out. Sleep was very hard to come by.
In the morning, we enjoyed a nice breakfast and coffee at the downstairs cafe. The valet were very prompt with retreating our vehicle, and we left.
I am so sorry to say, there is a very unlikely chance that we will return. My wife and I understand that this may have been an isolated incident, however, it did affect our anniversary and we left slightly disheartened.
We have stayed numerous times in a Head Honcho Suite and one time in the Farmer's Daughter's Suite. Before this stay - every stay had been delightful, comfortable, and relaxing. I am so disappointed to see that the rooms are now run down, dirty, torn draperies, mildew around sink and faucets, brown water spewed out of the tub, cheap paper coffee cups (when they used to have lovely mugs to sit and enjoy a morning coffee in bed) with generic garbage coffee. This is in addition to shampoo, body wash, and conditioner being attached to the shower (in a "suite" no less) - because, obviously that's safe and sanitary (I know we've all seen and heard the horror stories). The bed was hard and noisy, pillows were flat, and the sheets were scratchy. One of the things we had always enjoyed at The Padre were the plush beds - to the point we based our own bed at home on this level of comfort. This is extremely disappointing to see the lack of basic maintenance and cleanliness especially for the cost of this room. We won't be returning. It ruined an anniversary.
Great little gem in the middle of town. Wonderful restaurant - friendly and helpful servers/bartender. Front desk staff were great. No hassles, perfect.
Great hotel in Bakersfield.
Large comfortable room, good bar and restaurant on the ground floor.
Nothing
Worst reservation system ever. No cancellation policy for any reason. Only a suspected off-shore call center. Can't get in touch with them, won't accept the reservation number. It's through a horrible company call Reservation Stays. I would never book at the Padre again after this experience. Unacceptable treatment.
