Room was lovely but being above a nightclub that went onin until 3 am you wold expect sound proofing, miserable two nights. Music so loud could not even enjoy a drink in the bar.

Nice place, don't stay if you're not a clubber and actually want to sleep before 3:30am
Pros:

The hotel was in an excellent location, the room was nice , very comfortable bed and bathroom. However our stay was absolutely ruined by not getting any sleep in the Saturday night until the nightclub, below our room closed at 3am.when we raised this in the morning the receptionist said "yeah it can be noisy on a Saturday night" in a totally dismissive way. Noisy is an understatement, the noise was not far removed from actually being in the the club. It's absolutely not ok to book guests here who are not out partying until this time. So although the room etc was good the stay was awful and our next day ruined.
The staff were polite but very poorly trained, hard to find, looked stressed and stretched, in the bar area particularly on Sunday afternoon they just could not be bothered, the food in the bar area was poor, badly presented and we sent it back without touching it.
I think this attitude is reflected when reviews mentioning the noise, lack of sleep (wish I he'd read these before) have been posted the hotel's response is to thank them fro this review and hope they stay again soon. This so reflective of the sloppy attitude all round.

Incrivel como sempre! Le Monde entrega excelência no serviço prestado. Quartos incriveis, equipe muito atenciosa, sempre que vou pra Edimburgo me hospedo lá, sem dúvida.

Excellent stay

Pros:

Absolute fantastic hotel, could not fault in anyway. The staff were exceptional and the attention to detail was amazing. Could not recommend Le Monde highly enough.

Cons:

Reception informed me that the bar was open until 23.30. When I returned to the hotel at 22.45 after dinner I went to the bar. The girl behind the bar told me they were closed as it was quiet and she could not offer me a drink as she had already put her utensils away for cleaning. She was surrounded by glasses and drink options. Very disappointing in an Edinburgh city centre hotel in the middle of the Edinburgh Fringe / Festival. I travel to Edinburgh regularly with work and this was my first stay in this hotel. It hardly encourages me to try the hotel again.
