We decided to spend Christmas at Cabañas to unwind and relax. The location is perfect, close to various restaurants and bars, but isolated enough for more privacy. The private beach and shaded area is a game changer, since there aren’t a lot of areas to lounge, unless you opt for a beach club. Our room had beach access with a private plunge pool. We spent the majority of our time in our pool, or in a lounge chair about 20 yards away from our room. There’s a gym onsite with a nice hydrotherapy area that’s included for guests. It includes a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold plunge. We made sure to make use a few times during our stay. If you’re looking to “chill” and make use of the amenities, Cabañas is a good value.
The food at Ziggy’s and Fresco’s is good, with vegan and healthier options. Breakfast is included with your stay and the portions are plentiful. We really enjoyed sitting by the water each morning while enjoying our coffee. The entire staff was attentive and friendly. Aldo helped with our luggage and Ken assisted during the check in/check out process, even arranging a transfer to the airport for us. We enjoyed our conversations with the various bartenders and waitstaff during our meals. You get a sense the staff appreciate their customers and working with one another. They all did an excellent job helping make our vacation relaxing and carefree. Mucho Gracias!

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, including the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with some modern conveniences that can sometimes be hard to find at the beach hotels in Tulum. The location was great, too. It was peaceful and yet within walking distance to great places eat and things to do if you wanted to venture out. There were two restaurants for the hotel and they were both amazing- food & service were exceptional. And very attentive when it came to dietary needs and preferences. The hotel staff went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make our stay an excellent one, too. They were great at helping us find transportation and things to do, sometimes last minute given tours can cancel on you without much notice. Everyone was so nice, I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! This was my second time to Tulum and when I go back next year it’s very likely I will book my stay here again!

I celebrated my birthday at Cabanas Tulum Beach Hotel & Spa and I am SO glad I did! The entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Cabanas stands out for its tranquil healing vibe, exceptional customer service, and extremely clean and well-maintained facilities. I loved the amazing breakfast every morning and made sure to schedule time for hydrotherapy (sauna, steam room, warm plunge, cool plunge) every day I was there. Even if you are not a “spa” type, I recommend you try the hydrotherapy at least once during your stay (and don’t wait until the last day).

I felt so relaxed during my first three nights at Cabanas I extended to stay an additional two nights because I couldn’t bear to leave. The entire team felt like my family which was especially comforting as a solo woman traveler. I knew they all had my back. I specifically selected Cabanas for my official birthday because I had a sense they would not disappoint- they did not disappoint!

Marisol was extremely welcoming at the front desk and so kindly upgraded my room for my birthday at a very reasonable cost. Aldo became my buddy for the duration of my trip and was super helpful and responsive anytime I needed anything. I stayed at two places before Cabanas and two places after Cabanas and NOTHING even came close to the level of service, support, cleanliness and overall healing vibe I experienced at Cabanas. I am already looking forward to returning to Cabanas to enjoy the serene atmosphere and visit with the amazing staff and team :)

This place was beautiful, well maintained, with a helpful friendly staff. From check-in with David, to helpful airport transfers and tour bookings…and delightful touches like yoga mats and beach bags we loved our stay! The place was immaculate, spa relaxing, and the included breakfast was delicious. Steps away from a gorgeous beach with our own plunge pool, could not have asked for anything else! Use WhatsApp and they will respond in minutes!

The staff was so accommodating and over all just amazing. Their complimentary breakfast was also so healthy and delicious, and you could also order breakfast from their sister hotel too. The rooms are cozy and very chic bohemian, which we loved. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, especially, Ken, David, Aldo, Santiago, Valeria, Rosa, Camila, Arturo, and Faith, to name a few!
