On my order booking it was stated that the stay was with breakfast. The hotel manager denied me and she asked me to pay for it if I wanted breakfast.
When I paid my deposit I had to ask for a receipt on it and it took them 10 minutes to write it.
There was live music in the restaurant in the evening, but the singer was awful. It kept me from going in there.
The hotel is old-fashioned and needs to be renovated.
The place was quiet
English is an issue however reception staff is on point, resraurant staff had attitude except one wich was willing to understand and help the room downstairs are not comfortable so we move to up stairs they wer much better, overall ok for 5days dies need maintaining cheap and cheerful hotel.
Very good hotel and the staff of course were excellent as always in Thailand
I'm someone who isn't particularly picky about hotels. I usually give 4 or 5 stars for hotel reviews but this hotel really just doesn't pass muster.
I had a good first impression when the staff actually opened the Uber taxi door for us upon arrival and even took the luggage out of the trunk for us. Throughout our entire stay, there was always staff stationed at the entrance to open the hotel door for us. Nice.
Now, the reception was when things star started going downhill. Fast. We requested to upgrade to a private pool room for one of the days and the face of the receptionist immediately fell. She seemed thoroughly annoyed. Granted, it might have been a bit troublesome but come on, we weren't asking for a lot, were we?
Peeve number 2: She forgot to return us the change for the money we paid and I had to request for it.
Peeve number 3: She left my passport in the scanner and completely forgot to return it to us until I asked for it.
Peeve number 4: Within the first 30 minutes of entering our room, they called us a total of 3 times. I couldn't understand their English very well but I believe they were asking if the pool was OK. The intention was good but the incessant calls were intrusive. Not intrusive enough? The staff kept entering our room without apologizing/explaining why. I believe they were trying to clean the pool or something?
Pet peeve 5: MOSQUITO GALORE
There are a couple of annoying things about how things work too. The wifi password and room key card woul
The hotel is more like a place for lovers. The Jacuzzi bath tub in the room is a great pleasure for couples. Room conditions and cleanliness is acceptable but there were some mosquito in the room. Hairdryer is available upon request for free of charge.
do your self a favour Do not stay here. The smell of raw surage both outside and inside the room was verry bad the bed was rock hard little or no hot water mossies in the room yes there was a spa and a pool that you woudn't use because it was too smelly out side the place is over rated and over priced over 40 dollars BE WARNED
Pool area is nice deluxe rooms are large but the airconditioner is noisey and the beds not comfortable
Hotel over rated. 2 star only. Over priced even with large discount. Old rooms. Need reno.

We only stayed one night before our flight out of Bangkok and we were amazed with the cleanliness and spaciousness of their deluxe room. It was for a great price too. Best bang for our buck.
We choose Siam Society because we were on our way back from Chiang Mai and just in Bangkok for one night before heading out to the islands. Siam Society is not really near a lot of walking district type stuff, but it was only 20 minutes from Suvarnabhumi, and there are a lot of food vendors on their street, which is awesome.
Our room was kind of old-ish, a little shabby but clean. It had a weird little not-a/c front room converted from a driveway where people could smoke, and a giant bathtub that fit two very comfy. It took ages to fill, but it was worth it for a good long traveler soak. They have theme rooms, too, which we glimpsed walking by, but we didn't get one of those (sadly).
Free wifi worked well, there were plenty of plugs to charge stuff, and the room was big. There was no TP in the toilet area, but there was a maid cart nearby another room, so we swiped a roll and were fine. The only really bad thing was that sometime during the night the electricity went out, apparently a fuse, but since the front desk folks didn't speak much English and we don't speak much Thai, it took us a little bit to communicate what was wrong. Once we did, it was back on quickly. But we woke up to a pretty hot room until then.
After 4 weeks travelling in Malaysia and Thailand this was definitely my worst experience (and my only negative review). I had tried phoning the hotel to find out the best way to get to them, but no-one spoke any English and I just had to hang up. Next day I phoned because even the taxi drivers weren't clear how to get there, but no-one answered all afternoon (apparently the phones were down). When I finally arrived (miles and miles from the centre) I was just given the key and taken to the room. Nobody showed me the facilities (cafe/pool) or explained what time breakfast was - they just disappeared. The young manager felt bad about the service and gave me a plate of fruit (which was nice of him) but I wasted so much time, and the actual manager didn't bother to talk to me... Not a hotel for me.
The breakfirst is quite good. However, the location is too far from main shopping area. When you come back from town, the taxi will not use meter and mentioned it is too far and will charge you 400-700 Thai $ which is ridiculous high. The taxi fare fromthe hotel to town will cost you around 170 Thai $.
