Pros:

Lovely location and friendly staff. Beds and bathroom were clean.

Cons:

Kettle was smelly and tarnished. Curtains didnt fit the length of the window and one window latch was flimsy. There was a fire door banging all night outside our room.

Awful evening meal
Pros:

Was probably a nice hotel in its day but feels a bit run down now. The bedroom was clean and looked like a new bathroom. Would be suitable for room only though if have an early flight next day. However do not eat at the restaurant. It is truly awful. Buffet style, overcooked, poor quality food. Totally inedible. Avoid at all costs.

Pros:

The house was actually a nice place to stay like an old country Manor stuck in time, entertainment was good the guy had a great voice lots of guests on coach trips made the place feel busy and welcoming. I prob would stay again, as they are dog friendly and not alot of hotels are.

Cons:

Only fault was some areas needed a clean from cob webs & windows needed washed, the room we had was basic, but it's all u really need,

Friendly helpful staff upon arrival & throughout . Basic comfortable room. Nice quality bed linen . Comfortable bed . Bathroom shower was great , consistent hot water & good pressure to it .lounge areas to sit about in .Didnt explore hotel to it's fullest ,as it was only an overnight airport stop .

Cons:

Freshly painted rooms ,so effort is being made to upgrade what is obviously a quite dated building . The double bed & side cabinets were squashed in & badly laid out .The sockets were below headboard ( panel on wall ) and thus behind the side cabinets .
You had to pull cabinet away from wall to get to sockets for phone chargers .Only one bedside table . No built in reading lights or sockets on the bed head panel ( something to consider ,that is in a lot of places now ).

The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

The tea and coffee in the rooms was sorely lacking or non existent. The bar for residents only opened at 17h00, no tea or coffee could be found on site before that time. The evening buffet style meal was sub standard. The attending staff member in charge of receiving guests was not really fit for purpose and not very helpful. We were not going to risk going for breakfast and rather used the nearest petrol station the following morning.
In closing: "must try harder ".
