Pillows very uncomfortable

The bed was so uncomfortable and the food in the restaurant was not very appealing at all , no information given at reception regarding the restaurant or how you had to buy a food voucher and that’s if you wanted to eat . We only found that out by trying
H to find the restaurant ourself .food choice was awful so we ended up having to drive and eat out

When we went down for breakfast my friend informed the lady taking room numbers that her daughter had a severe nut allergy and asked if she could confirm what foods were safe . The staff number was vague in her response . She said “I think you’d have to ask the chef , I think there’s some allergy guidance but it’s maybe at reception “ she did not point out the chef , offer to get the chef for speak to him , she did not offer to get any allergy information , she was polite but hopeless . This means then we had to travel to a near buy town in order to get safe food for my friend’s daughter . While I am aware there were some allergy advice posters behind the cereal … the staff must be more proactive and informed on how to respond to allergy Requests , as this is quite literally a potential life threatening issue. It was also disappointing to see the same staff member and others from the kitchen then all sit and enjoy their breakfast at a table a few feet away while not one of them was helpful .

Really very disappointing and for future guests this must be addressed .

Unfortunately, there were several things we were unhappy with. The room was cramped, the “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together horizontally, there were marks on the walls, and the room was extremely cold. The biggest issue, however, was when the fire alarm went off in our room due to steam from the shower. The manager knocked only once before immediately entering without waiting for an answer. The bathroom was in use, people were getting changed and had just come out of the shower, and my children were getting undressed, so this felt extremely invasive and embarrassing. At checkout, I asked whether this happened often and was told by the manager that it did, as the alarm was sensitive. I suggested that a fan in the bathroom might help. Knowing that this was an ongoing issue, I would have expected the manager to be more mindful of the situation and wait for a response before entering. Overall, the experience was very uncomfortable and not what I would expect in terms of privacy, comfort or consideration.

No-ones fault however a wasp infestation in our room meant we checked out first thing and unable to use facilities
