A smile is gold!
Pros:

Lovely and exciting hotel, where we got a standard room at the top with a skylight.
Nice and clean.
Unfortunately no possibility to make a cup of tea or coffee (no kettle).
The breakfast was nice.
And yes, at the reception you got help, but a smile makes a big difference - most happy people know that.

Genial , la piscina es un punto a favor , y los horarios de las cafeterias tambien son buenos para disfrutar de la estancia.
El personal de limpieza y hosteleria muy agradables todos.
Y la cama muy comoda .

A nice hotel but lacking essentials for what you expect from a 4 star hotel. A handfull og sunbeds where brocken and the umbrellas also. Should be very easy to switch for new ones - that would help a lot for when using the pool area. Breakfast is fine for the price.
Don't make any sense that you have to pay for parking in the parking lot. Where else are you supposed to park?

The bed was very hard.

El unico motivo por el que reservamos este hotel fue para poder hacear uso de la piscina al aire libre, pero estuvo cerrada todo el sabado para un evento sin que hubiera ninguna aviso al respecto y sin importarle al personal. El hotel tiene mucha falta de personal y todo el servicio es lento y malo, incluyendo una ensalada el sabado noche que solicitamos sin anchoas por una alergia severa y que vino sin anchoas

Un hotel espectacular
Pros:

El hotel está genial, bien localizado, limpio, habitaciones amplias y muy cómodas, disponen de piscina y spa, el personal es muy amable. Recomiendo la opción de media pensión ya que la cena fue estupenda y en un entorno inmejorable, volveremos seguro!

Great Hotel in a very good location
Pros:

We had a good overnight stay at this Hotel whilst touring around Spain on our motorbikes. The Hotel is beautiful & well located close to Penafiel Castle, Protos & various restaurantes. It has a lovely swimming pool. The Spa was closed when we visited. It also benefits from having its own restaurant and a good bar in an enclosed outside courtyard. You have to pay for parking but at least it is secure. Would happily stay again.

Decepcionado con este hotel. Calidad precio muy pobre.
Reservé dos habitaciones un fin de semana que íbamos en parejas, nos dieron las peores habitaciones. Habitaciones como si fuera una buhardilla, con falta de limpieza y mantenimiento. Los baños sucios y oxidados. El precio más de 150€ la noche. No lo vale.

No merece la pena este hotel, cogeros otro. Que no os engañe las imágenes.

Nice building and good service
Pros:

Cool old monastary or something in the middle of cute village Penafiel. Very friendly staff, spacious but a bit old rooms and a breakfast with all you need. Beautiful courtyard for a aperitivo.

Gute Unterkunft mit bequemen Zimmern in toller Lage. Etwas laut/hellhörig. Verbesserungsfähige Lüftung der gemeinschaftlichen Räumen. Frühstück gut, Personal laut und etwas zu viel Lärm beim Tischdecken/-aufräumen.
