We stayed here for a weekend and was pleasantly surprised after reading negative reviews. We stayed in a deluxe room and was very spacious and a nice sized well presented bathroom with heated floors. The bedroom itself ýy but could be an amazing hotel by updating the rooms and beds.
Had dinner here with family and friends for my sons 21st birthday the staff were amazing they could not have been more helpful from the time of the booking nothing we wanted was a problem we had a great night thanks again
a little gem on the outskirts of Naas.
olde worlde charm complete with friendly service.
food choice is limited but good quality and fresh.
nothing is too much to ask of staff and they are so pleasant.
I haven't stayed in the bedrooms so can't comment but the dining rooms and lounge are lovely.
Why I cannot be certain, I'm pretty sure the family in the almost empty bar on the night we stayed, blaring their videos and music on a collection of mobile phones, and then ordering pizzas and eating them in the bar, were "guests of the nation". Same with a couple of the families taking everything at the buffet next morning causing us to wait for fresh food. The so called award winning restaurant, there are certificates in the lobby, most recent 6 years ago, saying they had won an award. What have they being doing for last 6 years.... We didn't eat in there, ate in bar listening to the videos and music on the aforesaid phones. The ensuite had not been cleaned out from previous guests, pictures missing from wall in bedroom, a general air of not caring anymore. Don't see how it is four star!
This hotel is just outside of town, 5 min drive and your in the pubs and restaurants. Recently stooped in for lunch and it was delish! Thank you and looking forward to coming back soon on our next trip through kildare. we come here every year for the races and will keep coming back.
Jättebra stora rum och sköna sängar. Bra frukost och trevlig personal.
Mkt trevligt hotell. Bra frukost och bra restaurang. Underbara rum.
Nice clean hotel, bit old fashioned but clean and lovely staff
Poor quality hotel which is extremely overdue a refurb. I would not stay there again personally
The breakfast was fabulous and so was the room (really comfortable bed and great shower) but the room was too hot so we kept the window open all night and there was alot of traffic in the early hours which woke us up a few times.
As we arrived at 11pm there wasn't time to cool the room down before going to bed.
Good value 3 star hotel in excellent location just off the N7. Excellent bar food and breakfast. Great value at 79 euro per room. Car parking limited at certain times- seems to be shared with other buildings.
Stayed here for a night on business. The room rate was reasonable compared to some of the prices I've seen quoted in reviews. However, this is never a 4* hotel. Sorry, the staff were pleasant but my room had stains on the walls and carpet, the kettle was all furred up, there was no plug in the bathroom sink and I wouldn't step on the bath mat if my life depended on it.
I didn't eat here as it didn't look particularly welcoming in the bar, dark, dim and cold, so we took a short cab ride into Naas which has some lovely independent restaurants.
Breakfast was OK, the usual fry up, but nothing special. Overall the hotel is tired and needs bringing into the 21st century. The tv had just a few channels and was basic compared to other 4* hotels I've stayed at.
3* at best. Won't be staying here again.
I had booked a room in the hotel, but when I arrived they informed me I had booked a chalet which is across from the hotel. I did not argue but went over to the chalet. It was less than pleasing as it had a shabby look to it, the radiator was blasting heat out on a warm day. When I tried to switch it off the switch came off, it was obviously broken. They did give me a room in the hotel.
This hotel has huge potential & at First glance the hotel looks great but you quickly notice a few stuffs which may bother a lot of people due to some serious cost cutting tricks.
The room we got had too much stains on the wall & cealing. Heavy lime scale in the bathroom. Light shades are covered with dust. Room are dark due to lack of lighting.
The walls on the 3rd floor corridor leading to our room was covered with crayon stains among others . They look like having not been re-painted for years. This is very disappointing since a few gallons of paint do not cost much but indeed give much more value to the hotel.
The shower gel & hand wash were big pots instead of individual mini pots which are now the norms. At first its not really an issue but germs can easily be spread around to the next guests by simply sqeezing the jar with dirty hands.
All in all its a good hotel but the management should seriously take their job seriously. They are advertised as a 4 star hotel but our booking website has them as a 3 stars. If they lost 1 star I would not be surprised at all. Its in the small touches that average hotels becomes excellent ones.
Staff is very nice especially the gentleman taking care of the breakfast service.
We checked in late room was lovely, bathroom huge could do with a little tlc, bit dated mildew etc... Breakfast was ok room itself very dated limited selection bit unkempt.. same again in need of tlc bit of paint etc Reception very inviting nice staff.
Having being here small lunch function previously, myself and my partner decide to hold our baby girls naming day here. Honestly, the staff and management couldnt have been more helpful from the moment we first contacted them about using a room. They offered two rooms, one for the ceremony and another for the meal without any additional charge and advised perfectly on the food selections which we thought was great.
They allowed us go in the evening before to dress the rooms which was a massive help - most places only allowing you to go in the morning of to set up. On the day, nothing was an issue from getting extra chairs for tables, to getting amp and pedestals for - seriously nothing was an issue for the guys. Special thanks has to go to Ollie and Fergie for all they done.
Very helpful and welcoming staff. Comfortable hotel and the best full Irish breakfast we can remember having!
Booked a chalet and when we arrived we were told that there was none available but we were staying in a room in the hotel. We were very disappointed as I purposely booked the chalet. Food was lovely in the bar. I wouldn’t book to stay here again as we didn’t get what we requested. Also the noise from the traffic on the road kept us awake.
Spent 1 night here with family recently. This is definitely not a 4* hotel. The rooms are very basic and the whole hotel needs refreshing. Breakfast was very disappointing with very little choice. Staff were not a bit friendly and overall would not recommend as it was very expensive for a small basic run down hotel
Lovely hotel and close to the venue we attended, spotless and staff very friendly.
