Stayed for 2 nights during the June heatwave. AC in the bar and restaurant were a blessing. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was comfortable as was the bed. A fan was in the room which helped. Cask ales which are brewed at the rear of the site and are well worth trying.
Nothing worth commenting about
Great location, big comfortable pub with different rooms to relax in.
The Kings Head is an old quirky building that has been refurbished to a high standard. My wife and I also ate in their restaurant and again the standard was exceptional. Tasty, tasty very, very, tasty! I would certainly stay here again. Very accommodating friendly staff.
I wouldn’t want to find fault, that would just be churlish. It was a lovely stay!

Nothing
Stayed for one night in a superior double room, which was comfortable and had plenty of space. Breakfast offered a variety of cooked meals and the staff were very friendly.
Really great little pub/hotel. Lovely old building with lots of character. The staff we're all so friendly and helpful. Check in was easy, our room was lovely and comfy, nice big bathroom. Food was excellent. We really loved our stay here.
Nothing - we loved it!
Arrived via motorcycle and were lucky enough to get parking behind the hotel. I don't know where they would park you otherwise. Bike felt secure here. It was a top floor room with A/C which was great. The room was smaller than expected but it worked fine for just the one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location and easy to walk around the village and see the history. Dinner in the restaurant was good and breakfast was excellent.
Very friendly, lovely dinner, good breakfast
Old building, wonky floors, stairs are a little scary whilst carrying cases
Excellent location
Someone operated hoover at 7 am on a Sunday morning !!!!
Limited breakfast choice
Good location. Friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious, large bed, comfortable bed,2 large windows that opened wide on a hot night. Overlooked the street but quiet after about 10.0 pm.
Bathroom very small and shower quite tight and a little tired
They have EV charging on site but the charge, set by the hotel, is £0.72 per KW which is extremely expensive.
Location was brilliant
Bar was very dark
Great freshly cooked breakfast and staff very attentive. Location was great as well, with parking.
No lift to room, but that was expected due to the period nature of the hotel.
Staff and locations
Stairs and having to pay for coffee at breakfast without warning
Great location, lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent.
