Good value for Money
Pros:

Been here for multiple times already; parking space directly behind is tighy and limited; but a but further on 1 minute walk also behind the Hotel there is plenty of parking space on public parking; cheap parking. Food choice in restaurant/pub is limited but good value for money. Breakfast is good. Rooms are clean and comfortable; typically English Pub/hotel. In village center on walking distance plenty of shops and small restaurants. Friendly Staff / Good WiFi / nice Pub.

A very disappointing experience, I was looking forward to my stay but had a very poor night’s sleep.
Pros:

Convenient for my visit to that area
Absolutely delicious porridge for breakfast.
Young man on reception at arrival and who served breakfast was delightful and a credit to the hotel.

Cons:

Shocking access to car park - scraped car.
Two sets of steep stairs to room with poor quality bannisters. No lift.
The bed was hard and the pillows very lumpy. The room overlooked high street, noisy early morning with lorries.

Great hotel in the middle of town and food is excellent
Pros:

Breakfast was okay but it could do with sum fried bread. The hotel staff were great polite and friendly. The building was a bit old a1nd 1 creaky but but what would you expect it was built in the 14th century.

Cons:

The stairs were not good winding and narrow.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

Great location. Parking. Good value. Great breakfast. Original features. Nice decor in rooms. Quiet at night

Cons:

While we appreciate the building is old and has uneven dimensions, the bed in our room sloped so that you had to lie with your feet higher then your head which we found uncomfortable. Maybe something could be placed under the head of the bed to level out the sleeping position. The bed was also very soft which isn’t our preference. This wasn’t the case in all rooms as our friends room had a harder bed and was level.
