Everything was good and as expected except for the breakfast

Cons:

The Breakfast: Maybe they were short staffed for the time we were there but it was all messy. Couldn't find a server and when I did he hurriedly said to me - I'll be out in a minute but then never came back to me. There was no normal milk, just semi-skimmed which me or my 14 year old don't like. I got an omelette which was terrible - the cheese was like plastic on top. Just very disappointing breakfast when it could be so easy.

Staff made a fantastic effort in preparing the room for a special celebration. Adjacent under cover parking very useful.

Cons:

Location a little over-sold, as the “view” is over an array of railway lines. Ditto the gym which is tiny and not well equipped.

Pros:

The young lady that checked us in (Sebastiana Mendes) she was very welcoming. The hotel is beautiful including the rooms. The best part is the staff decorated my room for my anniversary. Its was such a lovely gesture.

Cons:

The main reason i booked this hotel was because of the pool & spa area. It was extremely disappointing not being able to use the pool as it was closed. We had no opportunty to enjoy the full experience of this area. We had looked at other hotels but chose Pestana & then experienced the disappointing fact of not being able to use it but still had to pay full price for our stay.

Pros:

Good location. Like the car park. The downstairs restaurant and bar is very handy.

Cons:

We stayed for 2 nights but did not get any bottled water on the second night. That’s a bit penny pinching. Very basic tea and coffee selection. No other snacks available in the room.
