The variety of food in the breakfast was very limited
I booked my room with breakfast all five nights but I use one day only as the options were not a lot and the quality of food was not very good
My booking was through booking.com we were a family of 5 ,three adults and two children aged 2and 5 .i was located to two units .one was king size room and double bed room (which was enough for us )and a sweet ,we explained to the receptionist and manager that we don’t need the sweet unit but were very reluctant to understand and refused to help totally .we ended up paying for the sweet unit without using it for the five nights despite sending an email to the customer service and discussing this situation with them on multiple occasions.this was very disappointing to the whole family
The staff were super helpful and friendly.
Alot of things were not working in our room. Even though it got sorted while we were there, it shouldve been seen to before we arrived.
The pool at the spa was pretty cold. I was expecting a heated pool.
We were at Simola the 3rd time. Excellent breakfast, Our room was spectacular beautiful, big, clean and the view is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very big, the beds are extremely comfortably and the gas fire place is doing the rest for a nice cozy stay. Only the furniture and the carpets are a bit old, so for sure some need a bit of revamp :-)
The Spa was very dirty in the evenings! Used towels all over, dirty floors and used glasses in the sauna! No Staff was ever seen in the week we where there. No fresh water do drink after sauna! There is no Love to detail at all, its faaaar down and forgotten! Very sad because it could be very nice...

Exceptional staff service and excellent breakfast. Spa services and the gym are a standout feature. They managed to procure a second room for us at short notice.
Blind in the bathroom missing slats which is not ideal when you are right by the walkway. Pillows need replacing. The inner rooms are just not the same without the outer room views. Second room smelled of damp.

An edit to my review of April of 2026: Love it when institutions take reviews that are not so positive as an opportunity to do better. It's July 2026 and I am once again a happy SImola Client! Again I must mention the kitchen- room service is extraordinary! The meals are a solid 10/10!
Upon my previous review, they reached out and they made it better! We visited again this July and every single flag I had raised was addressed. A big thank you to Roxanne and Team for going above and beyond- we had a really excellent time- This is the Simola we know!!! The little 'Welcome back to the family' note was a lovely touch!
The star of Simola are the staff- particularly the manager/front desk/ reception and the kitchen staff
As returning customers it was amazing that they remembered us almost exactly two years to the date.
Breakfast at Simola is always a treat and the general ambience and safety is definitely up there

Pains me to see how in the last two years things have deteriorated. Two years ago I gave a 10/10 for everything. Now I can’t even give a 5/10 for cleanliness . Did Simola change their cleaning staff? The cleaning is PISS poor!

Maintenance issues in our room and power outage for 1 full day, so we were not able to enjoy the heated swimming pool.
