Le St Martin Hotel Particulier Montreal

We had a great stay at Le St-Martin. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Valet and check in was very fast and the rooms were very clean and exactly as advertised on the website. You can't beat the location either.

I had the most lovely stay with Le St-Martin. The staff kindly upgraded me to a room with a bathtub when I told them I was in town for important business and was feeling a bit stressed. The room was super charming and comfortable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. I highly recommend Le St-Martin to anybody visiting Montreal!

Located near a few garages if you drive, also close to the metro. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close by.
The room was clean, quiet.
There is a nespresso machine in your room and when you check in they give you bottles of water, but they don’t replenish them after the first night of your stay.
My fiancé and I enjoyed the outdoor heated pool, we wish it was slightly warmer.

I have stayed many times over the years and have had many great experiences. Unfortunately not this time. While the staff was friendly, they forgot to advise us when we arrived that the hotel was no longer serving breakfast. When I reached out to book breakfast before checking out I was asked whether I had been advised it was not available. I had not been.
The room had a foul odour which my friends noticed as soon as we walked in the room. It seemed to be coming from the floor drain in the bathroom.
We had to keep the door closed at all times.
We discovered just before bed that the thermostat was stuck at 23 degrees and we couldn’t turn it off so we were uncomfortable all night in a stuffy hot room.
I booked for 3 adults in the room and we only had robes, towels ,soap etc for two.
I was told as we were leaving that the hotel would be closing in a few weeks for renovations as they had been bought out by the Grey group but that they had already begun renovations on the upper floors.
However we paid full price for a hotel that is operating at half capacity.
I have stayed at several of the Grey group hotels and this is not up to their standards.
I would not have booked a stay for a special occasion with my friends if I had known about the state of the hotel.
Very disappointing

Nice hotel....good location. BUT, forget getting any correspondence, including room confirmation in English even though specifically requested. Not exactly promoting out of Province business with this approach.

Very convenient on location, friendly and helpful staff very delicious breakfast and the room we rented the luxury king room is very nice clean and quite the bed towels and tub is so cozy me and my partner had a great time staying here and we absolutely recommend it to our friends and family and we are looking to come back again.

Nice place - would stay again

The hotel itself was great - very nice room, especially for the price. Nespresso in the room as a great touch. We did have an issue with the pool, though. I chose the hotel for a one-night getaway with my daughter because she was excited about the pool. At checkin, we were told the pool was open from 7am-11pm, and so didn't rush to go swimming that evening, thinking we would just go down in the morning. When we arrived at 8 the next morning, though, the pool was closed (even though the sign said it was open from 7-11) and we were told it wouldn't open until 10. We had plans at 10 so couldn't use the pool, which was very disappointing. Something was also wrong with the breakfast, which open over an hour late and so we didn't have time to eat either.

IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING TO FIND THE RESTAURANT AND BAR HAD BEEN CLOSED WITH NO PRIOR NOTIFICATION.THE BREAKFAST WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING.

This an excellent property with very pleasant and professional staff. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Centrally located hotel with nice big rooms and bathrooms. A little tired. Restaurant closed due to recent change in ownership.

great location, great room, and great price in downtown montreal

The breakfast was lacking quality fresh food.
The staff were very nice especially today’s bellman. The pool is pretty for a small dipping pool. It needs to be set to a warmer degree when the weather is very chilly.

I rated the hotel somewhere in the middle…the room was fine and clean.
The front desk staff were somewhat rude
We asked for water and coffee pods on the second day and were told that they don’t refill them after the first night….excuse me! I paid the same amount for the second night, did you want me to checkout and then check back in?
The breakfast was 23.00 per person so just be aware of the extra fee.
I have to go back to Montreal in a couple weeks and think I will have to try a different hotel.

perfect location

Excellent mattress & bedding plus similarly excellent shower. Cleaning staff and front desk staff were all welcoming and responsive. The location couldn’t be more ideal
