Serious Service & Billing Concern – Immediate Attention Required
I am writing this review to bring a serious concern regarding the front desk conduct and billing process at Radisson Blu Hotel Pune Kharadi.
I checked in at around 9:30 PM after travelling from Delhi, as a woman guest, expecting basic courtesy and professionalism from a reputed 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience at the reception was extremely disappointing.
Firstly, despite arriving late at night after a long journey, I was not offered even basic hospitality — not even a glass of water or the courtesy to be seated while the check-in formalities were completed. I was made to stand at the reception for nearly 30 minutes, which is unacceptable service for a premium hotel.
Secondly, I was asked to pay the entire amount upfront for my 4 nights / 5 days stay. While this was unusual compared to standard hotel practices, I agreed.
However, the major issue arose with the billing discrepancy.
My booking on Booking.com clearly reflected an amount of ₹31,464, whereas the reception demanded ₹32,517.
Even after I specifically requested the staff to charge ₹31,464, the receptionist proceeded to charge ₹32,517 from my card.
When I pointed out the mistake, the staff’s response was unprofessional and argumentative rather than solution-oriented.
What was even more concerning was that I was then asked to present my card again so that the correct amount of ₹31,464 could be charged, which effectively meant another deduction from my card without first reversing the earlier incorrect charge. This would have resulted in almost ₹64,000 being deducted/blocked, which is completely unacceptable.
For a property representing an international hospitality brand like Radisson, this experience raises serious questions about staff training, billing transparency, and guest handling, particularly for women travellers checking in late at night.
I request the hotel management to review this incident urgently, investigate the conduct of the front desk staff on duty at the time of my check-in, and ensure such situations do not occur with other guests.
Very disappointing and unexpected experience from a brand of this stature
I was booked same day checkout room for me and my partner bt staff gives 2 twin bed so disappointing seriously and that happens with 2 times
