Hotel THB San Fermín

Spent 4 nights over Easter weekend bed & breakfast . Room clean & fresh looking , soft pillows but bed a bit hard for our preference . Nice double walk- in shower . Lovely grounds , 3 pools but very cold this time of year. Lots of space to spread out and always sunbeds available . Breakfast has everything you could need & we found it to be quite quiet & calm compared to some places we have stayed . Bar prices are reasonable . Short but steep walk down to seafront . Halfway between marina & Parque de paloma so good location . Whole building looks clean & modern compared to some in the area , and is well spread out . Would recommend if looking to visit Benalmadena

I never really write reviews but really felt I had to after our stay here! I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!! The hotel was amazing! So clean, so fresh- near everything, staff so friendly and an amazing choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Bar reasonably priced and the grounds of the hotel were stunning- really well kept! Pools are beautiful!
Location was perfect! 5 mins from all bars and restaurants (although a very short walk/ the hill is quite steep) a supermarket 30 secs walk from the hotel!!
Deserves to be a 4 star in my opinion!…. Can’t wait to return!!

Just back from the San Fermin really good week away can't fault the hotel nice and clean good quick check in ,Food was good buffet style plenty of choice the steep hill up to the hotel could be a problem if your not good on your feet,the only down side is the staff could do with being a bit more smiley but maybe thats a spanish thing overall enjoyed it and would recomend it 👍

This was our second time staying at the THB San Fermin,there was a mix up on check in but was soon sorted,we was in room 120 first floor pool view ,we knew what to expect so the room didn't surprise us it was clean and has we expected, gonna be brutally honest there are somethings that need attention the door frames on most rooms on that particular floor were mostly all damaged,we stayed room only so can't comment on the food but it did look popular has there was many guests taking this option,the communal areas are clean and well kept judging by people going in the pool it can't of been warm,there is a gym to which we didn't use this time and a bar to which we used once and got a free cocktail due to our mishap during check in all in all it was a pleasant stay and would and will be back,I have heard many guests mentioning about the hotels position it is on a steep hill TOP TIP: ON LEAVING THE HOTEL TURN RIGHT AND FOLLOW THE ROAD DOWN, THE GRADIENT IS LESS AGGRESSIVE AND YOU END UP NEAR THE LONG BAR AND OCEANS CHIPPY AND ALSO ONLY A SHORT WALK TO THE BEACH.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Almost everything was perfect, particularly for a 3 star hotel. A friendly welcome awaited us upon arrival. The room was clean and had a good view. It was perfect for a 4 - 5 day break. We particularly liked the shower, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast definitely exceeded our expectations particularly as it said we were having a continental breakfast. There was a variety of hot foods, cereals, porridge, toasts/bread and lots of fruit and yoghurt. Completely filled us up. Staff were great. The pool looked clean and tidy, although we didn’t use it. Why not 5 stars? We really didn’t like the bar. It was cavernous, and very much like a sports bar (not adverse to having a footy match on in the background), but it was unattractive and nothing would have made us choose it for a nightcap. We walked in, and walked out. Because it was all tiled, with the footy on and the clients drinking, it was loud, and it echoed. We had read previous reviews and everyone said what a good location it was. It was about 3/4 mile from the marina. The downside is that to get back was up a very, very steep hill. In fact there were hills everywhere. Not in a good way. We are relatively fit so managed it, but if we had been older or a little infirm you couldn’t have made it back without a taxi. There were a number of bars on the main road, but there was no where we would have called in for a nightcap before bed. That’s not the hotels fault, but……. Don’t let it put you off, particularly if you are younger. The local bars, particularly for men are perfect.

Nice welcome, great staff, good breakfast with lots of choice. Can’t comment on dinner as we went out. Comfy room. There is a steep climb from the promenade up to this hotel and a further hill up to Bonanza Sq. may be conveniently positioned, but the hill could be a challenge.

Well received on arrival and settled in after early check in. Good size room and comfy bed. Close to beach and general amenities. Reliable transport links available all day, in particular getting to Centro Malaga. Breakfast was enjoyable, although one evening meal was served very undercooked fish! Essentially an enjoyable stay was the main experience.

Fantastic location, 10 minute walk from the beach and bonanza Square. Rooms were clean, comfy and spacious with daily room service. Breakfast disappointing, the English options, such as bacon and sausage are poor quality, would not recommend. The bacon slices were 90% fat and not appetising. The pool area and bar are clean and fantastic, the male waiter was brilliant and very friendly. Would return again 100%. Excellent value for money, even though the breakfast is bordering on the poor side

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It is better than some 4 star hotels that we've stayed in. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable with nice bed linen, the shower was powerful and always hot, the free toiletries were good quality, the mini fridge was very useful, our room was quiet and the air con worked perfectly. The range of food was excellent, alway a selection of quality meat and fish on the grill, a pasta bar, a fabulous salad selection, and lovely fresh fruit and nicely cooked vegetables. All the staff were helpful and friendly. There were plenty of sunbeds in the well kept gardens. It's in a nice quiet part of the resort, yet only 8 minutes walk downhill to the promenade and bus stop. There was a large supermarket 10 minutes walk away. We would most definitely return to this excellent hotel. Highly recommended.

Great location . The hotel as a nice friendly atmosphere. The staff carnt do enough for you always helpful. The room was nice with a great shower but the seal around the shower needs replacing as it was black in places. Tea coffe kettle and fridge in room. Good cleaning staff . We had a room that was overlooking the car park which was quiet. The hotel is good value.

If you love a good nights sleep, avoid this hotel. Loudest doors known to man, drunken guests up all hours, constant noise outside. Never coming back. Awful place.

Shame its a Lovely clean and modern hotel in a good location but VERY noisy. The Rooms at the front (seaview) overlook 2 car parks which are not mentioned /shown in the brochure, their recycle collection comes early hours every day , loud smashing glass and from 11pm to 5pm guest doors are slamming, chairs scraping across balconies, people talking in the corridors , no soundproofing at all. Going home shattered.

Fantastic Stay from Start to Finish!

Not sure where to start because everything was spot on. The staff were so friendly I felt like part of the family by day two! 👋😁

The food was plentiful and really well presented. Only tiny gripe… whoever ordered the British bacon and sausage clearly hasn’t been to a UK café, but we survived 😅🥓

The hotel was spotless, the gardens looked like they’d been trimmed with nail scissors, and the air con worked better than my fridge back home. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced every day.

A big shout out to Veronica on reception who arranged a late checkout until 4.30 pm for just €20. Worth every cent to avoid the mad suitcase rush! 💼⏰

We had such a great time that we’ve already decided to come back in January. Can’t wait! 🌴☀️

Had a weeks stay here. The hotel was clean, quiet (november), in good condition, and in a good location. It is up a hill from the beach, so may not be good for people with serious mobility issues.
There are two adult pools and a paddling pool, and plenty of sun loungers.
The hotel does half board. Can't comment on this as we like to eat out. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants just further up the hill at Bonanza square . You are sure to find one to your taste there.

This is a great hotel. The room was nice, modern and clean. We were on the top floor and had a lovely view of the coastline. Breakfast is of a good quality. The grounds are lovely around the pool and the car prices are very reasonable. I know many people complain about the hill but it is not that bad and you are up in a couple of minutes. Location is good straight down to the beach. Overall a cracking little stay at a very reasonable price.

We have just had two fabulous weeks holiday at The San Fermin Hotel Benalmadena . The Hotel was absolutely spotless, rooms very comfortable and modern, excellent Wi-Fi , the pools and grounds keep beautifully. The Restaurant had a really good selection of all foods for everyone’s taste. The staff from reception , house keeping and restaurant were all so friendly and helpful …… with a very special mention for CRUZ x front of house in the restaurant who really looked after us . We have already booked to return next year…… Thank You xx

stayed at the san fermin hotel for 5 days hotel was nice staff there was friendly. but did not like the room we stayed in over looking 2 carparks.outside the hotel was a steep hill down the shops & 15 minutes walk to the beach. 5 minutes walk from our hotel was bonanza square few bars &restaurants there we ate at 2 of the restaurants but the rest was a no no especially halfway inn had a meal there twice it was awful very bad there wasn't any music in the square because it was in a residential area .it was one of our worst holidays will not be returning to that end of benalmadena again

it's my second time this year I was there in April things are just as good as in April the buffet breakfast is superb all you can eat there is a choice for everyone would well recommend but I'll probably be back next year my compliments to all the staff here at the moment for 3 weeks 👍👍

The san fermin is a great hotel room was great easy check in pool areas clean check out was great too there is luggage storage for when pick up is after check out plus a shower room

Stayed for three nights in October and very much enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer, from the great selection at breakfast to the lovely clean comfortable room.
All staff were polite and professional.
As others have stated this three star hotel could easily pass for a four star hotel. The pool was heated and always clean. Extra marks given for the microwave at breakfast. I enjoy my cooked breakfast a little hotter than most and the microwave was a great touch especially as it has a message next to it stating if you like your breakfast a little hotter use me.I would definitely return to this lovely hotel if returning to the area.
