Our wedding at the Brisbane House Hotel on 4th April 2026 was everything we dreamed of and more. It’s a gorgeous venue that really does tick every box. We especially appreciated how the wedding package and planning meetings handled all the essentials, allowing us to actually enjoy the lead-up without the usual stress.
A huge thank you to the exceptional staff who made sure everything ran smoothly; we felt so relaxed and well-cared for all day. Between the fantastic hospitality and the delicious food, the entire experience was perfect. Our guests are still talking about what a great time they had! We can’t recommend this hotel enough and will definitely be back for future celebrations.
I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding on the 3rd of may. To be charged £235 for a room that did not have a fridge and for breakfast to finish at 9am (which we were not informed about when checking in) it’s ridiculously overpriced. The rooms were nice but not luxurious, the bar staff were not particularly friendly and the wedding meal was very minimal. It’s a lovely setting but overpriced for what it is
The hotel is beautifully decorated and fresh and is situated on the seafront so we had a lovely view.
Nothing
Nice breakfast and hotel setting.
Nothing
Love where it was situated right on the sea front the view from our room was amazing.
It would have been nice if they did evening meals inside the hotel .
Everything so clean and modern couldn’t fault it ideal location to . Beautiful hotel .
I would have liked a bottle of water in the room for during the night part from that everything was great .
Rooms were comfortable
Could do with a shelf in bathroom as nowhere to put toilet bag except on floor
The property and location were both great, the main problem was the lack of evening meal. Breakfast was very good. Fortunately Largs has some very good restaurants
We had our wedding here in march the venue was beautiful . The staff very friendly and kept everything running smoothly just amazing from them !! Steak pie was unreal .I would recommend booking brisbane for weddings .Our day was just fantastic and all our friends and family enjoyed.
Thank you The Donnells

Good
Hotel looked lovely and very modern. Room was ok we paid an upgrade from £150 to £170 when we got to the room there was a basket of snacks on the table we thought this must be what you get for your extra £20. Hubbie had a packet of crisps and a bag of peanuts. It was not until the next morning when we were checking out that I found the price list right at the back of the basket. £1.90 for each item and that was the only time we saw this price list. Can I just say the girls that were on reception both days were lovely and chatty so that’s one thing you get right. BREAKFAST well it was very poor. We got down at 9.30 as it was Saturday breakfast is 8am to 10 am. The waiter looked like he would rather be anywhere but the breakfast room in the Brisbane Hotel when we asked him for a table for 2 he said anywhere you want but all the low tables had not been cleared hence we had to clear and set up. in the table ourselves. We had to set our own table as I am unable to sit at the high tables so swapped our cutlery and crockery to a low table. There was very little left on the continental table. We would expect to be able to get what everyone has been ordered as we paid the same money. I had French toast with bacon. Bacon was so over cooked you could not cut it with the knife. Hubbie had eggs royal both eggs were stone hard when they should have been runny and a lack of salmon with this dish. The only thing that looked fresh was the pea shoots on the top. Coffee tasted like strong tea as it was so weak and tea was cold. We should have been offered fresh
pots on sitting down and it is dangerous to be carrying in this case Luke warm drinks round the dining room, just as well they were not piping hot. I then had to ask for some toast never offered it and no mention of it on the menu that’s a staple at breakfast time. Also there are no accessible invalid rooms. We were told the building is listed and therefore they could not put a lift in when the refurb was done. We will never be back in the Brisbane Hotel again we were so very disappointed with the service for such a high price.
Staff friendly and helpful
Having to move room, due to room not being ready, also we were offered room on second floor, as l had visable mobility issues, l though this total lack of thought, also, no terastial television. No offer of evenings meals in a hotel, that is a first for us
