We needed a one-night stay after arriving late by air at BSL into the Swiss sector and then needing to depart Basel by Swiss train mid-morning the next day. There were two IBIS hotels available on the French side of BSL airport - we choose the one at Blotzheim for it's availability.
Check-in is until 23:30 hrs - we arrived by taxi from BSL at 23:20 hrs. We were quickly allocated our room and tucked up in bed by midnight - a very efficient reception! Note that you must exit BSL airport from the French sector if you want a taxi to a French-located hotel (taxis don't like crossing international borders).
Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. Good WiFi was available.
Breakfast was typical "continental" fare with some western (UK/USA) choices - perfectly adequate for a nice start to the day's travelling!
The hotel runs a shuttle service to BSL airport (by pre-booking at reception) - but only to the French sector of the airport (if you are travelling onwards via Swiss buses and trains you must cross from the French sector to the Swiss sector within the airport building). The shuttle left on time as requested - perfect, yet again!
Useful tip: If departing Basel SSB by train to elsewhere in Switzerland, book your train ticket from Basel (BSL) airport to your final destination and the cost of the Bus 50 to/from Basel SSB will be included in your train ticket - saves buying a bus ticket (5 CHF) at the airport.

J'étais déjà venu dans cet hôtel, proche de l'aéroport..j'ai surtout apprécié le calme,le confort et le très bon rapport qualité /prix..et la disponibilité de la personne très sympathique qui m'a conduit,avec la navette,à l'aeroport à 4h du matin..
Pour moi ,tout va bien et je ne trouve rien à améliorer..

Hotelul are o locație foarte bună pentru aeroportul Basel. Se află la aproximativ 5 min cu mașina. Asigură transfer gratuit către și dinspre aeroport cu un minivan. Camerele sunt micuțe, dar decente.
La ora 9 la micul dejun nu se mai găsea mâncare. Nu mai aveau unt, brânză, croaisante, cafea, etc. La solicitarea mai multor turiști de a realimenta platourile, au răspuns ca le pare foarte rau, dar nu mai au cu ce

A little way from the airport (15€ cab ride from the French exit at the Euroairport on a Friday evening), although bookable free shuttle minibus half hourly back from the hotel to the airport in the morning.

Great value and location for next day flights as it is about 5 minutes from the airport. As expected facilities are typical of ibis economy hotels.
