Good breakfast.
I booked for a twin room, but somehow I was gotten a double room.
Vi hade ett stort rum med havsutsikt. Personalen var mycket trevliga, familjär stämning. Bra frukost. Nära tågstationen, men lugnt läge.
Allt var jättebra, men notera att hotellet ligger på en brant backe.
Habitación estupenda. Me "upgradearon" a una habitación superior ideal con vistas a St.Michaels Mount. Las amenities de la habitación excelentes. Surtido de tés, cafés solubles, hervidor, galletitas, etc.
No he tenido ningún problema, todo perfecto para mí, pero sí indicar que aún cuando está muy cerca de la estación, el hotel está ubicado en una zona elevada con fuerte pendiente de unos 50m. A tener en cuenta para personas con movilidad reducida o con mucho equipaje. Aunque hay taxis en la estación, por tanto se puede solucionar fácilmente. La recepcionista, creo que su nombre era "Joy" encantadora y amabilísima.

Lack of parking space and difficult to park. Lack of mini fridge in a non air conditioned room makes it difficult to to keep cool overnight and it was only mildly warm ambient temperatures during our stay.

Needs some basic maintenance, toilet flush needs fixing. Wall Pictures need aligning. Breakfast is a cheap but high impact event. Suggest abundance especially in cheap stuff, tea in tea pots, toast already cooked.
Beautiful hotel. Our bedroom had a view of the harbour that was quite nice. The bathroom had an excellent shower. The included breakfast was served in a lovely dining room. There were many delicious items featured on the buffet (pastries, fruit, etc.) and then we could also order off of the menu. The food was exceptionally well-prepared; indeed, the scrambled eggs were some of the creamiest and tastiest we’ve ever had!
The location is good in that it’s near the train station, but there is a steep hill to walk up to get to the hotel. We didn’t have a car, so rolled our carry-on bags from the train station, but going up that hill was quite a hike! Overall, the hotel is worth it, though. Just make sure you have the stamina to climb the hill (or get a taxi!).
Die Lage, das Morgenbuffet sowie die sehr netten Mitarbeiter/innen.
Das ganze Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und hat mit einem 4-Sterne-Hotel nicht mehr viel zu tun. An den Wänden blättert zum Teil die Farbe ab. Das Zimmer roch während des ganzen Aufenthaltes (2 Nächte) nach Ergrautem und nach Chlor. Sehr unangenehm. Lüften half leider nichts.
When we arrived there was no one on reception to check us in and we had to hunt the receptionist down. There is no lift and the stair carpet has seen better days. The room was of a generous size and had a harbour view. There were no dedicated connections to charge devices. The bed was large with two mattresses joined together. The RH mattress had a ridge in the middle of it which made it uncomfortable. The bathroom was a generous size , but the bath suffered from chipped enamel around the bath plug. The room had aircon, although we didn't try it out. The room was .it very sound proof so we could hear our neighbours talking through the wall. The dining room was pleasant. The cooked breakfast was okay, but expensive for what it was. The continental breakfast was better value. The staff on the whole were pleasant and helpful. The hotel had a garden and swimming pool. Overall I would rate the hotel as a three star rather than a four star.
Penzance is a good transport hub, but not a place most people would want to stay. It is very run down.
The room was very comfortable and the service was very friendly.

Nicely situated to train and town was an easy walk. Good breakfasts. We had dinner at the hotel which was also good. Staff were very helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.
Bed was too firm for my liking as were the pillows. Lighting in bathroom was very poor.

Would have liked a map and Instructions for walking from the station giving the option of the less steep, but longer, walk up.
Last minute stopover due to flight cancellation to Isles of Scilly. Lovely hotel with great views of St Michael’s Mount. Staff very friendly and helpful and I was able to charge my EV.
Good room, quiet location
steep hill to the hotel (but good view when you arrived), steep stairs to second floor room without lift, difficult with luggage for 80year olds.
We hadden eigenlijk een ander hotel geboekt, maar dat had Booking helaas niet goed, die was vol.
Deze zag er leuk uit.
Men deed erg moeilijk over het parkeren van de auto, en werkelijk de dame op de receptie vond ook nog dat ik haar daar niet op aan mocht spreken, verder hadden we een kamer met zee zicht geboekt maar dat bleek een zolderkamer met een raam op 1,70 m, gelukkig kon dat om geboekt worden.
Matig hotel voor veel te veel geld
Warm and friendly welcome as soon as I arrived. Room was comfortable. Location was easy walk into town. I didn't use the pool or the bar but they both looked decent. I would stay again.
