Maybe room could be a bit darker
This place is amazing, the room was very comfortable, the staff amazing and the breakfast was great as well. Zero complaints from me. Will definitely stay again ahead of my ferry to the Isle of Wight.

Clean, large room. Bed was comfortable, loved the furnishings. Breakfast was spot on. Lots of variety for everyone.
Bedside lamps were quirky but didn’t throw out enough light. Only a minor point.

Appreciate a boutique hotel, but some of the decoration in the rooms a bit over the top such as bead curtains hanging down the side of the bed.

The hotel was a good location, just a few minutes walk from Southsea parade, park/lake & local bus routes, in fact there was a bus stop right outside which connected with The Hard for The Naval Dockyard & Gunwharf Quay. Several pubs & cafes are nearby.
The room was a reasonable size, although not massive (executive double room) and very clean. Usual tea/coffee provision, large screen TV, storage etc. Room radiators were controllable & there was a fan if too warm.
Bathroom quite small but clean and everything worked well.
Breakfast was choice of cereals, fruit, cooked food & toast with a range of vegetarian options and oat or soya milk available. Everything we had was hot, tasty & cooked to order. Tea, coffee & juices on offer.
The staff we met were very friendly. My hubby used the bar in the evening, which was very quiet.
We were lucky & parked at the front of the hotel (4/5 spaces available) If these are full, the hotel has permits available for road side parking, which although busy, usually seemed to have a few spaces nearby.
I found the mattress quite hard, although hubby thought it was fine.
A small fridge would have been useful, as the hotel doesn't do food other than breakfast; plus I like fresh milk for tea!
