Didn’t get to stay because our room wasn’t ready by 8:30pm. So we chose a different hotel.
Pros:

Staff was courteous and understanding when we chose to cancel our reservation because our room wasn’t ready at 8:30pm

Cons:

We arrived at 8pm to be asked to wait while our room was being cleaned. After 25 min of waiting, our room wasn’t finished yet. When you’re charged for a nights stay from 4pm check in until 11am check out, your room should be ready to use upon arrival anytime after check in.

Great place to stay in Salida
Pros:

Comfortable one-night stay. Ben at the front desk for check-in was very friendly and efficient, explained everything I needed to know. Room was very clean, quiet, had all I needed for a good night's rest. Breakfast was decent, a few hot items along with the usual cold food. Not quite downtown but along the commercial strip, short drive to the very nice downtown with plenty of restaurants, shops, bars, galleries and the river.

Cons:

Nothing, everything was fine.

I always rate "value for money" & this hotel does a good job. 'Good' breakfast, not great. Excellent location from which you can motor to Monarch Ski or direct to mountain bike trails.
