Below average for Marriott. Disappointing.
Pros:

We regularly stay in Marriotts, but this was the first time I felt compelled to highlight several issues with this particular hotel. It is a fairly new hotel, but they obviously cut several corners with the construction and maintenance. There are creaky spots in the hallway floors, broken tiles in our bathroom floor, several marks (scratches and other signs of damage) on most of the walls, and we were put into a room with a dishwasher that was broken. We tend to do a lot of cooking while on vacation to help keep costs down, so this was a big inconvenience. We were not told the dishwasher was broken when we checked in, and the response when we called the front desk was, "Is that a problem?". We paid for a room with a working dishwasher, so, yes, that is a problem. They gave us a nice discount, but we shouldn't have had to ask. If you want to settle for "average", there are less expensive options in the area. This was disappointing for what we expect from a Marriott experience.

The suite we had was nice and clean. But paying a sneaky add-on charge to park there was a rip-off.
Pros:

The breakfast was okay. Bland, but serviceable.

Cons:

I was very shocked that after paying $239 for the room, plus $40 in extra fees that I prepaid, to be expected to pay an additional $15 to pay to park there at the building! I think that is outrageous! I have traveled extensively and have never seen that before!
