Wanted to be impressed.

Staff was friendly location was good.

Cons:

Concierge recommended a 3.5 star restaurant which was a waste of money. The floors were dirty under the bed debris and earplugs from previous customers, some kind of splattervstains on gold drapes, someone ate out of the Pringle container on the mini bar and the other Pringle were stale. But most importantly someone opened our window without our permission while we were gone for 3 hrs and hotel security could not tell us how it could've gotten open. Hotel was not worth $400 a night.

Completely disappointed
Pros:

There reservation system was down and there were 20 people waiting on like when went to check in. They were offering people free drinks so they wouldn’t wait in line. I had travels all day and needed to check in and shower before heading out to a work dinner with clients. Very unhappy with a hotel if the caliber not being able to accommodate me and their other guests. Unacceptable service

Recommend that a different hotel is chosen

Location in relation to Tomes square and Central Park

Cons:

Rude check in desk staff. When there was an issue with breakfast being included, the lady was very dismissive and just told me it wasn’t the hotels issue and that I had to telephone Booking.com directly. Not what I wanted to do during my holiday time.

When I checked in I specifically instructed the check in lady to use the card I gave her for the deposit and she didn’t bother and used original booking card which I didn’t want her to do due to a very large purchase I was intending on making whilst in NY.

The breakfast is very poor and expensive for what it is. Definitely not worth the $98 for two people, low choice and poor quality. Use a different restaurant/diner for breakfast.

Rude unhelpful staff and even when I asked about transport to the airport they said it was $150 and quite dismissive. Booking.com arranged exactly the same type of vehicle for $96.

I have stayed in hotel four times previously and each time was progressively worse. I will not stay here again and advise others to choose a different hotel for the money.
