We have stayed at this property many times and have always had a great experience, which is why this visit was a bit disappointing. We specifically booked a room with a king-size bed well in advance, but upon arrival were told none were available. As Platinum Ambassadors, this was surprising and honestly a little frustrating, especially since the reservation had been made ahead of time.
The staff did offer points as compensation, which was appreciated, but it didn’t fully make up for not receiving the room type we reserved. Overall, we still enjoy this property, but consistency and honoring booked room preferences — particularly for loyal guests — would make future stays much better.

The location on West 44th Street places the hotel approximately 3–5 minutes on foot from Times Square, directly adjacent to multiple 8th Avenue subway entrances, and within easy walking distance of Port Authority. Broadway theaters, restaurants, and retail are immediately accessible throughout the surrounding Theater District.
The reviewed room was categorized as a “Skyline View” and featured floor-to-ceiling windows with three directional exposures toward Central Park, Times Square, and Downtown Manhattan. The layout separated the sleeping area from a defined seating and work space. The bed was soft and comfortable, and climate control operated quietly and effectively.
The bathroom included a walk-in shower with rainfall and handheld options, both providing adequate water pressure and consistent hot water.
Arrival and check-in were efficient. Staff were professional and knowledgeable. Luis in Reservations took additional time to recognize loyalty status and assist in identifying a room aligned with stated preferences. Housekeeping standards were strong.
Restaurant, bar, and concierge services are available on property. ADA-compliant rooms are offered.
For travelers seeking contemporary luxury in a highly walkable Midtown location, this property represents strong value within its category.
Wonderful location right by the subway line, beautifully appointed, clean, attentive staff, and NICK at the Stinger was top notch in his help and service. I also had a wonderful girl who checked me in when I arrived who went above and beyond knowing my trip was for my birthday and even had fruit sent to our rooms. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but she had glasses. THANK YOU!
