Very charming hotel with 160 years of history. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
We loved our stay at this beautiful property! Everything feels so grand here. Welcoming and amazing staff
Great breakfast spread
Try the pizza on the property pizzeria
A nice hotel in a ski resort town. The third week of May was off season. The town is really quiet. However, the scenery was beautiful. The breakfast was great. We had a good time.
I liked the hotel. Their service and location close to the railway is good. I have one issue. We were stranded in Zermatt by an avalanche and we missed our first day at the hotel. We called and they held our reservation, but they charged us for two nights instead of the one night we stayed. The delay was not our fault. Zermatt was closed to all traffic because of the avalanche.
Great place
Lovely old hotel in a beautiful Swiss village. Really like the old skool vibe of this hotel. Nice friendly staff.
Our suite was very large with a huge terrace. Sadly no outdoor chairs in March which was a shame as the weather was fabulous. 2 full bathrooms. Very uncomfortable sofa. Bed a bit on the small side for the size of room. With a little bit of effort this could be a stunning room. Great breakfast. Only 4 stars due to the room furniture but I’d definitely stay again. It’s a beautiful area.
I’m shocked this is rated a four-star hotel. The exterior is beautiful, but the inside tells a different story. The staff was unorganized and unhelpful. When I arrived early for a work event and needed to check my small carry-on, it became a hassle. I was told to leave it in the lobby, which felt insecure, but I had no choice. Check-in was at 3 PM, but when I returned at 4:30, my room still wasn’t ready.
When I finally got my room, it wasn’t the one I booked. The furniture was old and mismatched, with anything “new” from IKEA. The “king” bed was two squeaky twin mattresses pushed together, making for an uncomfortable sleep. There was no thermostat, and the bathroom was disappointing—a tub with a handheld sprayer, making it hard to wash my hair. The tub and shower curtain were dirty, and I had to clean them myself. The massive, weighted keychain was also a hassle to carry around.
To top it off, as I was leaving, a staff member chased me down the street, saying I hadn’t paid. Apparently, they forgot to take a credit card at check-in and only realized as I was rushing to catch a 7 am train. Of course, I paid immediately, but it was frustrating that no one had mentioned it earlier.
Overall, a huge disappointment—I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Very nice hotel. Beautiful view from the breakfast room.

Good location, excellent staff. Room setup across the street not anticipated, very dated. Otherwise it did meet our needs for a two day stay close to St. Moritz.
The staff was exceptional. The hotel was quaint!
Overall ok. Good location with easy public transportation access to get to st moritz/skiing. Nice staff. Clean. Not the most updated. For us, beds uncomfortable (hard/too short) and heat too high.
Really great hotel and design, clean, had an upgrade to a room in the main building which was a surprise! Balcony overlooking the train station. Bear in mind it’s a bit of a hill walking up to the hotel from Samedan station but it’s a short 5 minute walk. Short train to St Moritz.
Very nice property. The hotel restaurant was very expensive for very small portions of food 35 francs for a hamburger is ridiculous.
A beautiful hotel . Great reception- niunsia gave us the best recommendations . Beds very comfortable and everything is cosy. Highly recommended ❤️
A great historic hotel that reeks charm and old world opulence. Great value for money.
Spacious deluxe room. Nice area. Friendly staff
Nice hotel. When we stayed it was low season town was very quiet. Hotel room had just been renovated it was a very good size. Staff was very friendly.
It was everything you would want and more! Gorgeous hotel, great breakfast, great staff. Will definitely return.
Very good hotel but not in St Moritz. Samedan is a 10 min drive from St Moritz station.
