Akti Beach Village Resort

Hotel bar staff make this hotel. Sangita I think was her name. Really good service.
Anis the entertainer was excellent but the other one was too quiet and slow, needs vroomimg up...
Was worried about war situation but was completely OK.
Missed speaking greek with staff as most were Eastern european or further, not Cypriot. Shame.
Weather hit and miss but mostly warm. Early season so ok.
Rooms comfy but cleaners forgot loo rolls twice and we had to chase. Not ideal.
Loads of seating area.. loads. Bar staff come to you in bar. Brilliant. Food good.
Would we come back. Yes.

The Rating for this hole deserves a 3 star not four.
The room was nice the hotel was clean
The staff were lovely. The food was the same every day and Luke warm at best. The fresh food brought out was poured on top of the food that had been standing for a while. So not good food standards. We ate out some days even though we paid all inclusive. The hotel is remote and lots of derelict buildings around so no bars or restaurants within walking distance. We hired a car. No beach and the pool was icy cold. The indoor pool is tepid but not an enjoyable pool to swim in. If you like Butlins style entertainment this is for you , they repeat the same shows and it's loud! . The weather was hot and the harbour lovely but you definitely need transport because it's so remote we wouldn't go again.

Lovely quiet area but easy to get into paphos if needed. The walk is about 2 hours along the coast path at a leisurely walk. The hotel is spotlessly clean and if you pay for the sea view it is so worth it. We were here to renew our vows with 10 others and Dimitri the manager and his team could not do enough for us. They made sure everything was perfect. There is no issue with the war and the weather although forcast a lot of rain, it has only been showers and not stopped us enjoying our holiday. Not looking forward to leaving on Sunday. We would all come back in a heartbeat. A special shout out to Sangita and Babita and all the staff in the bar.

arrived at 9.30pm, given sandwiches, cake and apple as a evening meal, with a bottle of water the reception told us to refill the water bottle behind the bar, breakfast time or a tap near outside bar.
Rooms looked like they were self-catered in another life, big bedroom bathroom very dated. Cleaners came everyday and changed towels even if left on hangers.
Good choice at breakfast plenty of room to move around apart from where omelettes are made, in the far corner in front of a coffee machine. All food apart from omelettes and toast luke warm.
Lunch time the same decent choices but again luke warm.
Evening meal is chaos, the staff are brilliant and will do there best to sit you together, we were a family of 7, there were 2 groups of 8, and another 2 of 7, tables are moved and pushed together but once seated it was hard to get out to choose food, on more than one occasion I hadn't a clue how to get back to our table! If we have had to empty the room quickly there would have been a lot of problems. Again food luke warm.
Snacks are non-existent, an hour and 1/2 in the morning and the same in the afternoon, in the restaurant not outside bar as stated, bread, cheese, meat, cucumber, tomato and limited cake available, some afternoons pizza was there. No pizza/burgers at meal times unless on the theme nights. You can order pizza and burgers and pay for them! The resort is in the middle of nowhere we walked along the front which is pleasant but nowhere to stop for a drink.
We found it extremely noisy on the karaoke night. Our rooms were near to reception which was good when it rained.
you have to leave a deposit for any beach/sunbed towels you use.
Good activities when a new member started he has the ability to involve everyone, friendly and loud think his name was Anis? Tony the other one needs bringing out of his shell.
We played tennis when no activities were scheduled, the tennis court needs a face lift, looks very poor.
the grounds and gardens need attention, we were at the start of the season but a lot of the gardens let the whole place down.
The staff were lovely and friendly but we will not be returning

Akti has been fabulous again!

We love the quiet location as we like to walk and explore and the walks to the old town, the harbour and Cholraka center which are all quite easy and relaxing walks. Reviews about no bars in the area are right, but taxis to the 'strip' are cheap and the hotel will help you book them.

The hotel rooms are fantastic.

But, what sets this apart from other hotel is the staff team. It would be unfair to pick any individual person out, as from the reception, housekeeping, dining room, kitchen and bar staff, are all, without exception friendly, helpful and kind. Top marks, exceptional team!!

The hotel animation is provided by WamaVibes who provide a really good service. Our team included Wojtek and Alina and then Tony, all of whom were amazing and became friends.

The food is lovely, the drinks are plentiful and there are more than enough sunbeds (no 8am towel reservations needed!). For us, there is nothing negative at all. Hence this was our 5th visit and number 6 is already booked.

Postives

* Beautiful location
* Food is generally very good (if a narrow selection)
* Studios are basic but clean and functional.
* The village resort is well laid out
* AI drinks are good if you stick to beer, wines and spirits
* Staff are fantastic - really polote, efficient and helpful

Negatives

* Resort is isolated - no tavernas or shops or anything nearby
* 20 minute walk to the bus stop - there is a paid for shuttle but it runs just twice a day and the times are not that convenient
* Despite it's namd there is no beach - just a tiny cove you can wslk down to to get in the sea.
* Entertainment was basic - quizzes, karaoke and a few themed nights
* Entertainnent is in the cocktail bar but it is far too small for the numbers
* The restaurant is too small - people having to queue to get seated is just not on

And, finally, my absolute hate - the chairs in the cocktail bar and restaurant being constantly scraped across the floor like fingernails down a blackboard - some felt pads on the feet of the chairs would make it a lot more pleasant - it got to the stage that we just sat in the lobby to avoid the racket.

Location is superb just outside of paphos on tomb of kings road. Hotel offer a daily bus twice a day to paphos old town, the shopping mall & paphos harbour at a cost

We asked for a quietly located spacious apartment with fast WiFi so that I could continue my work. 4 days on 4 days off. We had room 115 which was ideal. Close to the smaller rear pool. Close enough to restaurant & bar to not be disturbed.

The food selection was very good for an all inclusive facility. The staff were superb, friendly .& accommodating.

The reception staff allowed us to look at a studio set up for my revisit as these are a little cheaper than apartments

The studios look good also.

We had 3 weeks at Akti & found it a great place to stay.

Here at the moment- it’s hard to write an objective review when it’s poor weather because everything seems worse to me in bad weather!
Good points:
Beautiful, stunning location- gorgeous sea views
Food is great overall
Paid for seaview studio - well worth it for the huge balcony and views
Mini market is excellent with good opening times

Bad points:
Too many theme nights- just stick to Greek food and stop catering for Brits.
All meat here is dry and tough
Bed is one wheels - we kept wheeling off 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
Fridge has no seal and had to be wedged shut with suitcase holder
Cleaner attempts to come to clean far too early - waking us up every single day- no understanding of relaxing on holiday
Shuttle bus is expensive for service which hardly ever runs - usually these are free from hotels
No supermarkets or restaurants are realistically in walking distance for the average traveller

A 3+ mile walk to the harbour - not bad but no shops for drinks on the way

It’s an ‘okay’ hotel if you are on a budget

Great hotel food lovely. The only issue we had was our room over looked the waste land so not a relaxing view. The room we had no where comfortable to sit would recommend some comfy chairs in the apartment

This was our 5th visit to Akti Beach, which by itself tells a story.

We love it here, and nothing about this visit changes our opinion. The staff are attentive, and fun, and do a perfect job of making us feel welcome.

We love the food, and we love the facility.

We also love to walk to the harbour, the old town and to St Georges Bay

The animation this year was provided again by Wamavibes, and we enjoyed the company of Wojtec, Elina and Tony.

There are been a few tweaks around the hotel since last year that we noticed - all positive.

For us, this feels like home from home, but without the chores!

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights.
I was very disappointed when we were first shown our room which was really dated, plus it didn’t help as the weather was very wet so we got soaked going to the hotel for dinner . If I was to go here again I would definitely recommend paying the extra money for the hotel.
The hotel is absolutely spotless everywhere, the food was very good and the bar staff were exemplary in their service in the cocktail bar.
I don’t think I would go there again because it is to far away from anywhere to walk to in the evening

Just spent 2 weeks at this great hotel.
The hotel is lovely and clean. Our room was so large and it was great having a fridge also. Every day the cleaning lady came in and even restocked us with tea, coffee etc.
Food and drink was plentiful. I’m gluten free and they were very accommodating. Very good quality and choice of food. Ate too much!
In the bar they bring the drinks to you and are always coming around to see if you’d like another drink (even when you’ve hardly touched the drink you’ve got). Amazing staff, such a friendly, helpful hotel.
The team running the entertainments were also very good. Different activities going on throughout the day and in the evening in the bar always great entertainment.
Cannot praise the staff enough.
This holiday was more than value for money.
Just please beware if you use the shuttle bus make sure the driver listens that you are paying for a return because we got stranded but when we mentioned it to the hotel they were very good and spoke to the shuttle bus people for us.
I do like to go out for a walk and a mooch around a few shops and bars but there aren’t many in this area

Unfortunately we moved to another hotel after 2 days here, because we were so disappointed. So it's only fair to state that up front, my views are based on 2 days. We loved the location and the setting, right on the front, and the coastal path in both directions was lovely. However, we were surprised that the reviews we had read, the supposed star rating and indeed the price, do not accurately reflect what we found. What we were disappointed with:
1. Our room smelled damp. The bedding did not smell freshly laundered, also felt damp ,and was of poor quality. The room had inadequate storage and nowhere comfortable to sit. The bathroom was beyond in need of updating, which has been remarked on by other reviewers so we did expect that. The flush was awkward to use. The small patio space was shabby and had no outlook.
2. There was nowhere comfortable to sit in the evening if you didn't want to listen to the loud music from the bar. Obviously this wouldn't be as much of an issue further into the season when it would be warm enough to sit outside. The reception area with several settees (in need of updating) was featureless and cramped.
3. The All Inclusive offer was very poor. There was very little choice and the food on offer was average at best.
Overall, we were surprised at what we experienced, as reviews we had read beforehand promised better. The price difference between here and the hotel we moved to was minimal, yet they were as different as chalk and cheese.
Akti is clearly popular with some, but to be fair, the rooms need some attention as a minimum. So disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay at Akti Beach and would highly recommend it. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere.

What really made the experience special was the staff. Puran from the hospitality team was incredibly attentive and friendly, and Sangita at the bar was fantastic and always welcoming with a smile.

Both Puran and Sangita were amazing and truly made the experience ten times better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Akti beach hotel is a lovely hotel with a wide variety of amenities and facilities to use. The location is situated beautifully on Rodafinia beach which is a one minute walk from the main outside area, the room was nice and spacious, comfortable and very clean. For the price you pay you can’t go wrong, the staff are very lovely and always make sure you have what you need especially Puran who went above and beyond every night. Lastly the entertainment is always different and very engaging. I would definitely recommend Akti beach hotel to friends and family and I would return.

Our stay at Akti Beach was amazing. The accommodation and food was lovely & the staff were all so welcoming and very helpful. A special shoutout to Wojtek and Alina working with Wamavibes who were amazing and encouraged participation in lots of activities and made our stay even better. Would definitely return & recommend to all friends and family!

The best first girls holiday. The hotel was great and provided daily entertainment that went throughout the day and into the night. This couldn’t have been done without the amazing holiday entertainment team. Wojtek and alinia who are a part of wamavibes made sure that everyone always got involved . They are two of the most welcoming and lovely people and ensure your experience is to the best quality. They became good friends who we could laugh and joke with, which you don’t get at many hotels. I definetly recommend to visit here.

We really enjoyed our stay. The wamavibes entertainment team were amazing. Offering activities through the day. Wojtek was very lovely and welcoming he makes sure your stay is the most fun. Alina was also very lovely and encouraged participation for everyone. We were able to make great friends and would definitely come back.

Had a fantastic sunshine break here March 2026. Life is continuing normally in Cyprus and we felt safe throughout our holiday. The hotel is right on the beautiful coastal path, took us about an hour to walk into Paphos, you can also get a shuttle bus from the hotel or take the local buses that run regularly.
The staff in all areas of the hotel are fantastic, we enjoyed the nightly entertainment, different acts every night. The rooms are kept very clean. Very pleased to see and have management engaging with guests around the hotel, also the head chef in the dining room. Food was excellent, with different themes every night, great variety catering for all needs. We also visited Coral Bay on a local bus. We would recommend the Akti Beach Hotel for a relaxing break. Given 4/5 due to location, distance from Paphos.
