The furniture is old and worn out and needs major renovation In addition, the cleanliness was below expectations
View and location was good. Room was spacious. Swimming pool was decent, but lights were broken.
AC was not powerful enough. Room was worn out. Shower head were hanging loosly and shower floor was very slippery. Rooftop bar was closed. Scheduled airport transfer was cancelled without notice. Agreed early breakfast package did not exist.
The location
The hotel feels quite dated and does not meet the standards I would normally expect from a 5-star.
The rooms feature old carpeting and there is a noticeable musty smell throughout it which further contributes to the feeling that the hotel is in need of renovation.
The windows cannot be opened, which means there is effectively no access to the balcony despite having one.
The room amenities were also fairly basic, with none of the special touches typically associated with a luxury hotel.
My biggest issue occurred on the morning of my departure when a leak from the air-conditioning system flooded my room and soaked the contents of my suitcase. To their credit, the staff responded promptly: they came to the room immediately, repaired the issue, inspected the damaged items, took photographs for insurance purposes, and offered sincere apologies.
However, despite the significant inconvenience and damage caused, the only compensation offered was a late checkout, a drying service, and lunch. While I appreciated the staff's professionalism in handling the incident, I felt the compensation did not fully reflect the impact of the situation.
Overall, the staff were courteous and handled the incident professionally, but the condition of the hotel and the lack of meaningful compensation left me disappointed for a property marketed as a 5-star hotel.
