This hotel is so lovely. We had a family pool suite garden view room, it’s a huge room! It was clean and had everything you needed (hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle)The pool area was always very quiet. There are hotel beds on the beach. The beach is lovely, it gets busy but not overwhelming. It has a lovely chilled vibe. There are people selling things in the beach but if you say no they will move on. There are plenty of places to get a Thai massage on the beach. Breakfast at the hotel was great and had a lot of different options on offer. You can even order ice coffee’s or lattes to have with your breakfast! My son has a nut allergy, each of the restaurants at the hotel were really good at accommodating this and checking ingredients. Lay, Nila , Mars and Mew were some of the staff that made a really good impression on us. The beach bar/restaurant served a good mix of dishes and then there was also an Italian that was a hit with our kids. We stayed Full board but probably not worth it as there are so many restaurants close by. Opposite the hotel is a 7 11 shop. The hotel is about 10mins from the big Buddha temple and about 20mins from Fisherman village and Chaweng Beach. It’s very close to the airport but you don’t get any aircraft noise. The grounds at the hotel are kept beautiful. We had an amazing stay here and can’t fault it.
Royal Muang Samui Villas was a wonderful place to stay. It’s beautiful, the room was a delight (especially the private pool), and the staff were all very friendly and professional. My only suggestion is that they put a time limit on the use of the day beds on the beach, because a lot of people do the wrong thing.
Excellent service from the moment you arrive. Lots of restaurants around to eat out at but 3 lovely ones in the hotel too.
We stayed in the lowest room category which was 90m2 suite complete with jacuzzi bath shower that opens out to a patio and the balcony that is like a tree house.
Comfortable bed but no feather pillows. Daily treats left every afternoon. Fan app where you can shedule the time you get your room cleaned and order extra room amenities. Two pools towels in a beautiful wicker bag in the room for use whilst there towels replaced daily. And men and women’s flip flop shoes for use whilst staying too. Large fridge full of drinks with enough space for your own. Mosquito repellent cream replaced daily too. Insense burner lit every day after clean was a nice touch.
Lovely pool however not enough beds around it and apart from a handful of cushioned round sofa type beds all of the sunbeds were in padded and in my opinion not in keeping with a five star result at this price point. Plenty of beds on the beach
Free shuttle bus daily to take you to the sister hotel in Chewang and a weekly bus on Friday night that takes you to fisherman’s village at a cost of 200 by PP
Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and someone making fresh fruit juices when requested.
A special mention to the following people who made our stay extra special
Cathy and Sie on reception and Jaja making my juices every morning
Lovely hotel and pool with a massive room and outdoor seating area. Beach bar and restaurants were decent value for money and great quality food. Staff were very kind and attentive.
Not a criticism but something to be aware of if you are looking for relaxation - the beach area around hotel is quite lively during the day with the bar playing mainly dance music and a fair few people selling things.
Not good at all , very underwhelmed when we arrived for a special birthday and hoping for a very nice room .
Rooms very tired , first room stunk of rotting drains when bath was run . No other rooms to move to until 3 days later.
When we did move rooms the new room had a faulty sink and had to be siliconed down as very loose so room stunk of the sealer for days . Floor not good my husband got a spelk in his foot from uneven wood flooring .
We spilt some wine on a bed sheet so rang housekeeping and apologised our room cleaner who appeared a transgender female had such a miserable face , they were terrible , they were not happy at all .
Overall disappointing stay , drinks expensive compared to nearby places along the beach .
Also never told that the water in glass bottles were free , accidentally drank 3 of the plastic ones then got charged for them this should be explained on check in .
Breakfast wasn’t bad although service for tea and coffee very slow and again staff not friendly at all either definitely not what I expected Thailand to be .
Also there was blood
On the wall near our room for the whole duration of our stay , why this hasn’t been cleaned by staff I have no idea , shocking it looked awful , pic attached
Won’t be recommending this hotel or ever going back either .
Me and my husband had our wedding here. It was an amazing experience. Staff were all super helpful, attentive and they were all exceptional.
We also stayed at the resort for 3 nights, superb service, facilities and close to restaurants if you wish to eat out.
The room was comfortable and well equipped, we got our private pool, a jacuzzi and most importantly a comfortable bed. The room is clean and you the reception staff were so helpful.
We had a wonderful stay! Rooms were fantastic clean and very spacious. Gardens were tropical whole place was spotless. Typical Thai decor. Breakfast there was so much choice! Direct beach access. Staff were absolutely amazing every single one of them! Thank you highly reccommended!
WOW - What an amazing place this hotel is. Everything is 5*, the hotel grounds and rooms are gorgeous, the staff are very friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the location is great as it's right on the beach. I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ko Samui.
Customer service was amazing. The hospitality and environment was also outstanding.
Firstly, the room was very big and spacious. As a family of 5 divided into 2 rooms, we had more than enough space. However, the design of the room was not very good in terms of the AC air. There is a pillar at the top near the AC which blocks the cool air from travelling to the bathroom and the end of the room. So it is cold at the front of the villa and very warm in the bathroom and the other end of the room. But it didn’t impact/affect our stay. Secondly there was no hot water. We had to contact the reception multiple times regarding to fix the hot water, but they would spend over an hour and at the end, there was no hot water.
We had a breakfast only package and so the breakfast options were basic but filling. Every day, it consisted of the same foods. As a vegetarian, we had to eat the same foods throughout our whole stay. However, if we wanted something to be made, the chefs would happily make it for us. The customer service at the breakfast was exceptional. Everyone was really respectful and whenever we need drinks, they would give it us quickly.
Overall, the one highlight of the stay was the customer service and hospitality. Anything we needed, the hotel staff wouldn’t hesitate and would get it to us very quickly. From the reception to the breakfast staff to the beach staff, they were all amazing and would definitely recommend the hotel just because of them. The room however is modern but room was not very designed well. However though saying this, it didn’t affect our stay.
We had the most wonderful week at Royal Muang Samui Villas.
Being shoulder season in mid October, we experienced early morning storms and mostly sunny days. The resort was not too busy, and had a relaxed hum of families and couples enjoying the vibe. We had a week of joyful relaxation.
The grounds are established and well tended to. The villas are in traditional Thai style and extremely spacious.
The resort has prime beach frontage and in my view, situated in the best spot on the beach. Each morning it is set up with loungers, umbrellas and drinks service. The swimming conditions are very easy and calm, and every day we swam.
The Choeng Mon beach strip itself had enough variety for massage, snacks and drinks so you don’t have to wander far. We did visit Chaweng and Fisherman’s Village, and glad to return to Choeng Mon.
The airport service for pick up and drop off was a fair price and made our hotel transfers seamless.
There are plentiful and tasty breakfast options for all dietary requirements, and as a vegetarian I had a lot of choice.
So much care is put into the resort by staff and everyone is very kind and welcoming.
Special shout outs to:
-Bill, Sit and Lay at breakfast who greeted us daily and ensured we were taken care of;
-Ko and Lain and the beach guys who are so hard working and attentive;
and
-Cathy at reception who is an absolute delight, attended to our preferences and made our time incredibly memorable!
With so many options on Samui, this resort was a stand out for its authenticity, vibe, personalised experience, value for money and location.
Soooooooooooooo relaxing
A luxurious resort with exceptionally professional and attentive staff.
The villa was spotless, beautifully furnished, and featured a private pool.
The beach is stunning, the breakfast excellent, and the Fire Zone restaurant offers outstanding cuisine.
The location is suitable for a relaxing holiday. The beach is one of the best on Koh Samui. Everything at the hotel was at a high level
We had an excellent 4 nights in a pool suite room which was massive, beautifully decorated with high quality materials and beautiful touches. The private pool with jetted seats and covered, outdoor patio with couch was the top highlight. It was deep. At 5' 2", I could not stand, and it is large enough that you can actually swim in it, and had colored lights at night. The soaker tub in the bathroom was extremely large and had a waterfall feature and lots of jets. As an example of the materials, I read somewhere prior to my stay that the roofing materials were the last of a traditional local materials and technique. The floors were hardwood, drapes seemed like silk, and wood everywhere including the ceiling. Just gorgeous and it has a real sense of place. I wanted to stay somewhere that would feel like Thailand and not a resort that could be anywhere in the world, and this resort delivered. We enjoyed the pool and covered patio day, night, and on a rainy afternoon. The TV was big and easy to connect our fire stick. They have a drying rack for bathing suits. The fridge is big and has a freezer .
The beach is pretty and has lots of eating options along the beach. Different places have free fire shows on different nights. We enjoyed the restaurant Phi Phi best. The swimming is good, though the water cloudier than the crystal clear south chaweng beach, where we stayed for 2 nights.
We had no problem getting a beach chair when we wanted one. It didn't feel crowded even though I think it was at high capacity.
The resort is lush and beautifully landscaped. They have very good mosquito control.
It is a long resort from street to beach that might seem long for some, especially when it is hot. They said they would pick you up on the golf cart if you call.
There is a new, huge, state of the art, air-conditioned gym just opened called Legacy gym down the road. The laundry place by 7 eleven was good. The massage place across the street was good. It was easy to go by Grab to Fisherman's village and to Chaweng beach for outings. We used the free shuttle to the sister hotel on chaweng beach when we had the foresight to book the day before.
The breakfast had many choices, with a surprise standout being the homemade doughnuts. We had 1 lunch and 1 dinner at the restaurant and they were fine. It is a beautiful setting.
At breakfast, management circulated around the tables to see how people were doing. She provided good advice. The resort has an app and you can order supplies on it, or make requests like more towels or housekeeping at a certain time. It was convenient and service was so fast. The woman who cleaned our room was so sweet. The service was personalized.
Great beach location, beautiful swimming spot, and excellent staff attentiveness. Staff were extremely welcoming and professional, but also really helpful.
Coffee at breakfast was the best i have had at any holiday resort.
Our second visit to this lovely Thai style resort. Our room, ground floor, private pool was again wonderful. A big thank you to Ahmi and her amazing team for sorting the room for us and for a wonderful personal welcome and service throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt valued as guests. We also did a half day island private tour with the hotel driver which was great. We would love to return!
Stunning. Our favourite resort. The staff were amazing, food unbelievable, cocktails drive. The hotel is pure 5 start on the beach with a great pool. We will be back
Our second time at the beautiful Royal Muang Samui. The staff are incredible, especially Lay, Ahmie and Koh. They treated us like family.
We love the private pool and the rooms are immaculate. The position on the beach is perfect, not too busy but enough to do. A really great place for families
Good Staff, Good Location,Good Service and I have a great time when I was staying at there. 100% Recommend to this hotel. The beach and the swimming pool
I would like to recommend this property you will regret if you are not staying here during your holiday at samui just top notch quality
