Pros:

The staff was excellent, most helpful when my travelling companion stumbled and sprained her ankle badly.
Loved the historical authenticity of the hotel and how it is being carefully maintained.

Cons:

Well ,the dining room was closed but that was because it was being renovated, hardly a black mark.

Pros:

Location was great. Excellent authentic experience of a historic hotel. You trade in a few modern amenities, but well worth it. Having a private toilet/shower down the hall sounded a bit iffy when I read the description, but it worked great!

Loved sharing our admiration for the Carrington with an overseas friend who was very impressed

A lovely time was had by us all
Pros:

Everything was great. As we were celebrating a 100th Birthday of a lifelong friend. There were about 10 people
celebrating with us and every one had a great time.

Overall a beautiful historic hotel in a great location
Pros:

The location was great. Room was a good size. Lovely decor & staff.

Cons:

Bathrooms could use a little upgrade. Toilet paper could be better quality. Fan was noisy. Dissapointed that we were not able to dine in the dining room as it was getting renovations done and we were looking forward to the menu. A pool indoor or outside would be an improvement too.

Disappointing.
Pros:

The history of the building and its heritage bring a special element. It was heartening to see that the dining room was receiving some restoration work.

Cons:

The interior is not well maintained, with varying degrees of deterioration in public rooms. The bedroom furnishings are aged and in varying degrees of condition. The bed and mattress were very worn and therefore very saggy. Also, only a double bed size is available, and this is poor given modern expectations.
Staff interaction was not great - clearly our experience shows poor motivation and a lack of professionalism.
Interior decor is very 1980s looking and requires a rethink as to how the hotel can bring its heritage to life in a tasteful way.

Pros:

An amazing comfortable hotel. Unique in every way. A throw back to a different era which is in today's world delightful. The front of house staff were helpful and polite.

Cons:

The corner bath in our room was a little tired which was a shame.

A beautiful hotel
Pros:

Loved the elegance of the place. Reception staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room size and bed size were great. Lots of pillows, something for everyone! The separate bathrooms were clean, spacious and bright. The breakfast was good.

Cons:

The bed was a little firm for my liking. That's it! Everything else was perfect.

Great location and 1930's charm.
Pros:

Great location,
Good size room, with a great rain shower
Wonderful 1930's charm of the hotel

Cons:

Minor things which meant I couldn't give this place the perfect score I wish I could.
Bathroom floor got wet while showering as there was no shower recess
TV remote was patched up with masking tape.
View from large bay window was compromised by a construction site just below
