A lovely hotel which has been renovated with love and care. Not just a place to stay...a destination
Pros:

The building itself is architecturally beautiful and the interior art deco style is wonderful with rooms of detailed and well placed object's d'art. The restaurant in the ex ballroom was exceptional, decor and food wise as were the bar areas with comfy seating arranged in groupings throughout. The staff were very professional and thoughtful. We had a relative in our group needing ramp access which was provided happily and left erected for her until the end of our stay.
If you need a weekend of luxury and to be in close proximity to all the sites of the Blue Mountains and you love historic buildings, this is the one for you...

Cons:

Our bedroom, though clean and with a lovely renovated bathroom was a little small and ever so slightly claustrophobic.
I would save a little more to larger room next time... but with period buildngs like this one, it's to be expected.

Außergewöhnliches Hotel
Pros:

I was there to recover & rest in a peaceful and elegant place.
Pros:

The heritage property is gorgeous & charming. The front garden area is very peaceful & relaxing.

Cons:

The updated lift is difficult to use on your own and when you are physically challenged after recent surgeries.

A delightful hotel with renovations that really summon the art deco grandeur of the past.
Pros:

The style and standard of decor and renovations in the hotel are outstanding, a real 'art deco' style and feel. Check in and reception staff were excellent. The bar and shared public areas, e.g. games area, are great.

Cons:

The room was too hot at the start of winter - had to turn the aircon on despite it being <10c outside. Would be great to open the windows!
Some of the cocktails were disappointing, but the staff were lovely.

Overall a pleasant stay and it was lovely being in the mountains.
Pros:

Loved the old world charm

Cons:

Bed wasn’t supportive and it dipped in the middle. There should have been better coffee and tea selection in the rooms. There should have been more food options available to buy within the hotel.
