Best hotel to stay in Katoomba
Pros:

Beautiful, olde world hotel with abundant charm. Complete with stain glass windows and beautiful vintage furnishings. Has a lovely bar area with a fireplace, snooker/billiard room and a gorgeous dining area. The rooms were lovely and spacious with a great bathroom.

Mooi verblijf in historisch gebouw.
Pros:

Blijft toch bijzonder om in zo'n oud gebouw te kunnen verblijven. Dan neem je bepaalde ongemakken toch voor lief. Bed was goed. Kamer was prima voor 2 personen. Hadden niet meer nodig.

Cons:

Onze douche buiten de kamer lekte een beetje waardoor de vloer buiten de douche toch wel aardig nat was.

Overall would stay there again, premises and staff lovely. Perhaps eat breakfast at a local cafe.
Pros:

Our room and rest of hotel, stepping back in time in a beautifully maintained hotel. Had a lovely light lunch and drink from Charlie's bar after arrival.

Cons:

Whilst the location for breakfast was lovely and presented well, the breakfast itself was disappointing for $30 each as the eggs, bacon and hash brown were all lukewarm. Only the baked beans were hot.

Lovely stay for a couple of nights. Very comfortable bed.
Pros:

The beautiful grand art deco hotel, always a pleasure to stay in.
Love the lounge/bar area and bedrooms are a generous size.
Very warm welcome at the front desk always.

Cons:

The tv was old and needed updating. The paint was peeling in the bedroom window sill, the room looking tired and in need of refurbishing.

Pros:

Location & lounge area all nice. The bathroom external to room was great.

Cons:

The heat. My God the heat. Absolutely unbearable to sleep. Opened windows, even found a pedestal fan. Middle of winter in Katoomba felt like the Arabian dessert. Terrible. Completely dehydrated. You expect to snuggle under a blanket. Couldn't stay here again. Still recovering
