This is a quaint hotel in a great location for accessing Echo Point and the Skyway tourist attractions. The hotel has beautiful stained glass windows and a welcoming lounge area near reception.
We checked in at 4pm and our rooms were not ready, but the manager offered complimentary drinks from the bar while we waited.
Great central location and a charming historic building with lots of character. The setting in the Blue Mountains is lovely and it has the potential to be a really special stay.
Room 205 felt quite tired with peeling paint and a bright security light shining through the curtains all night, which wasn’t ideal with jet lag. There was constant background noise (like a boiler), and the air conditioning was difficult to control — either too cold or off. The bed was very unstable, with any movement disturbing the other person. There’s also no safe in the room.
Customer service was unhelpful — when asking about a takeaway breakfast for an early departure, I was told to “ask at breakfast tomorrow.” Breakfast itself was very limited — one pastry, toast, cereal and juice — not what you’d expect from even continental offering.
Excellent location and room.
The mattresses were past their use by date and uncomfortable
The mattresses were old and uncomfortable
Fabulous central location. Gorgeous style. Helpful friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms.
Location, easy parking and cleanliness
Made it a great stay. Also great value for money

I would like to speak with someone about restrictions and hiking up price for the music festival 2027. I book each year and will not be booking again at 3 night minimum for $1600. I will find somewhere else less convenient. Your property is lovely, and that’s why we stay, but not worth that price. If I’m wrong and people will accept your price, then good for you. Please inform me if you don’t get any takers, as I would happy to rebook again on 2 nights.
Very quiet. Room and bed were comfortable. staff were great
Couldn't fill kettle from sink
Michelle and staff amazing, great spot in town with lots of parking and shops nearby
Michelle was exceptional on the front desk! Couldn’t fault her service. We arrived and booked late as alternative accommodation was not good.
Love the old heritage look of the building, carpark was easy exessable , walking distance to anything we needed. Staff nice and friendly, wish the weather had been as friendly. Overall we would will definitely stay there again.
No wifi in room and the weather.
Gorgeous historic hotel in a central location. Walking distance to many restaurants and cafes.
Room had the expected charm and grace of an building of this era, the leadlight windows are stunning. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. A continental breakfast was included, which was well stocked and included fresh pastries and fruit as well as the usual options. A great location, central to everything, the receptionist Caroline was brilliant on checking in, able to provide answers to our questions regarding the heritage of the building, town, as well as providing some great options for dining, and for antique shopping in the area.
The bottom sheet on the bed could reach the bottom of the bed base, always a bug bear of mine being a tall person. They do warn you that there is no elevator, so cannot complain about having to climb the stairs to the bedrooms, although not sure how a mobility challenged person would cope with the stairs down to the dining room.
Perhaps you could offer some more variety of fruit.
