Pleasant spot, nicely looked after building, reception is helpful.
Pros:

Room upstairs, very clean and tidy. Wi-Fi needs improvement. Great location, close to town (walking distance) also close to attractions.

Cons:

Limited staff in dining room and poor guy way run off his feet. All sorts of food were in need of a top up- waiter was flat out with groups.

Run down. Needs updated badly!

we could walk to places to eat on the Main Street of Katoomba. The linens in the bathroom were of nice quality.The woman that checked me in was very nice. They had plant based milk available for breakfast which was nice option to have.

Cons:

The whole hotel is very old and shabby. Looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90's. Im sure it used to be stunning in its day but its day is over. The place even smelled old like someone's grandmas house. I mean they are still handing out actual keys to open your room. The continental breakfast was very cheaply done. luckily we had some of our own food. The outside was falling apart as well. For the price I paid and the pictures I saw when I booked I thought I was getting something that was going to be grand. I was very disappointed. and that was the last night we had in Australia before going home.

Superior accommodation and facilities in walking distance of everything in Katoomba.
Pros:

Loved the room - very clean and comfortable. Loved the sauna. The hotel has ample parking and the building itself is very nice! Very olde-world yet accommodating. WiFi was good and the TV system allows casting from your own device/apps to the TV in your room. That was cool. The hotel is right on the main drag so very close to all the bars and restaurants in town.

Cons:

Breakfast ends at 9:30 - a bit early for a Sunday morning IMHO. The spa wasn't working but the sauna was good! There really wasn't much cause for complaint at all! Will definitely stay again!

False offering on triple room with "breakfast included", but we were asked to pay for breakfast . Receptionist informed only lighlight refreshments are free, any proper meal like even scrambled egg needs to be paid separately. Extremely disappointed given the room rates clearly included the breakfast when we booked.

Ended up having a brilliant time. Heaps of old world charm. Well maintined with a modern bathroom.
Pros:

Very neat example of an old traditional hotel kept in good working order.
The hotel staff were fantastic. I asked if I could move to a bigger room, as our original booking was a bit cramped for two people. the upgraded me without any charge.

Cons:

The room lighting was dim.
The original room booked was a 'King', but the room was actually very cramped for two people
The price at Booking.com was actually not as good as the direct website.
Don't assume that Booking.com have the best price, or that the room is not disappointing.
