The location was excellent and very picturesque
We stayed for two nights and on the 1st night we were absolutely mauled by mosquitos
Upon complaint at reception the next morning we were moved to another room. We were apologised to and moved. The 2nd night was exactly the same mosquitos biting us all night
Cobwebs in the room stains on the carpets. 2 sleepless nights and came away bitten all over.
I understand the hotel cannot control mosquitoes however they can and should provide provisions foe these or let people know to prepare.
On complaining they acknowledged what we said and offered a meal on the house to say sorry. Great we paid £550 2 x sleepless nights horrible stay and they think us driving 120 miles for a meal makes sense.
The property, the cot advertised for our 2-month-old was a travel cot/play pen provided without its appropriate mattress. Your reception staff confirmed at checkout that it is your policy not to supply this mattress "to cover yourselves" — a limitation that was never communicated to us beforehand, despite our specifying our infant's age in advance. As a result, we had no safe sleep option and had to use our own pram for both nights, which was considerably more stressful and disruptive than a proper cot would have been.
Exceptional place, lovely through and through
The hotel and restaurant were very well designed using the charm of the existing mill house as it's inspiration. Very modern but with a rustic authentic atmosphere
I would have loved our room rate have included breakfast
Absolutely stunning property, I loved that the bedrooms were small cottages. The history of the property is displayed and interesting. The drinks were lovely and food was great. The staff were really friendly.
Felt the staff seemed not fully up to speed/trained. I ordered a specific drink that twice they did not know how to make (not a problem in isolation!), we had to wait a while for our dinner reservation and then service was very slow in the restaurant, we didn't have a specific waiter rather different staff noticing us and taking orders it seemed. When our dinner was served the staff didn't know what it was we'd ordered or which was the veggie one. It's a shame as the staff themselves were very nice/kind/accommodating just seemingly slow or busy or not fully trained.

La propriété est magnifique à l’extérieur tout comme l’intérieur.

We had a separate annex room which was very spacious as we had a dog with us. The outside tables were lovely and inside very comfortable too.
There was no vegan dessert available and all vegetarian dishes in the restaurant (x3) were all mushroom based leaving little choice. Service was lovely although a 10% discretionary service charge was added in a hotel, it was automatically added even though it said only applied to groups over 8.

It was our 2nd stay at this hotel and yet again we have had a great time - by coincidence we have stayed in the same room on both occasions.
Loved the little private outside space, room had all necessary amenities, was clean and comfortable.
Delicious breakfast and dinner at reasonable price.
Staff was polite and professional.
