At check out I forgot to mention room 35 toilet seat hung screws broke loose.

Ho soggiornato all’Hotel Signum di Salina nel mese di ottobre e non posso che descrivere la mia esperienza come perfetta sotto ogni punto di vista. La struttura è un piccolo angolo di paradiso, curata in ogni dettaglio e immersa nella tranquillità e nella bellezza tipica delle Eolie.
Le camere sono eleganti, accoglienti e dotate di ogni comfort, con una vista mozzafiato sul mare e sui tramonti. Il personale è estremamente gentile, professionale e sempre disponibile: si percepisce una sincera attenzione verso l’ospite, cosa rara e preziosa.
Il ristorante merita una menzione speciale: piatti eccellenti, ingredienti di altissima qualità e una cucina che esprime al meglio i sapori dell’isola. Anche la colazione è ricca e curata, servita in un contesto incantevole.
La spa è un’oasi di relax: un luogo perfetto per rigenerarsi e lasciarsi coccolare dopo una giornata di esplorazioni sull’isola.
Ottobre si è rivelato un mese ideale per godere appieno della pace e della bellezza del luogo, senza la folla dell’alta stagione.
Consiglio senza esitazione l’Hotel Signum a chi cerca un’esperienza autentica, raffinata e rilassante alle Eolie. Non vedo l’ora di tornare!

Best place to stay on Salina hands down. So happy to be welcomed back into the amazing warm family that Signum should continue to be so proud. Stayed in the most perfect old world suite with panoramic views over the sea, sounds of the village around and felt we were in the heart of MALFA. The breakfast was spectacular and service from Graciella like she was welcoming us into her family. Luca and Martine did much more than we could ever have imagined and I am forever grateful and thankful to the team. Can’t wait to return and bring our family and friends here. Thank you Signum
Hotel Signum is like no other place on Salina. The kindness, professionalism and warmth from the staff, the unique style and layout of the rooms, the gorgeous spa area, the fact that one of the only Italian female Michelin star chefs heads the kitchen and the grounds is a testament to Signums’ unique spirit, its soul and why it is world class and definitely worth staying at least for a few days if not more.
Abbiamo soggiornato un giorno e mezzo a Malfa.
L'isola regala di questi tempi un'atmosfera rilassata, profumi e colori meravigliosi.
Aria che sà di salsedine, fresca e pulita.
Arrivati sulla via principale del paese, seguiamo le indicazione per raggiungere l’hotel percorrendo un vicolo stretto, tipico eoliano. Accolti da una vegetazione densa e resiliente.
Ci invitano in terrazza per un welcome drink e restiamo subito rapiti dalla vista mozzafiato sulle isole di Panarea e Stromboli, dietro di noi due imponenti montagne ed il paese di Malfa coperto dai riflessi ambrati del tramonto.
Camera ampia, pulita ed un romantico balconcino alla francese vista mare. Abbiamo apprezzato da subito la scelta degli arredi.
La sera prenotiamo al Ristorante stellato, prima spiamo dalla finestra della cucina: 4 donne al comanda insieme alla Chef Martina Caruso. Proposte originali che esaltano i sapori e i profumi dei prodotti locali. Ci siamo fatti guidare dal sommelier, per un wine pairing di livello!
Il mare era increspato, la mattina per fortuna l’acqua della piscina era riscaldata!
Dalla reception ci consigliamo un giro in scooter elettrico, ancora fattibile con il tiepido sole di ottobre. Ci fermiamo a Rinella per light lunch, tappa a Pollara per qualche scatto nel paesino costruito su un cratere. Bellissimo.
Nel pomeriggio SPA da sogno all’aperto ed un massaggio di coppia con olio al cappero e fico d’india.
Ripartiamo con “riserva” con l’ultimo aliscafo per la terra ferma, non vediamo l’ora di tornare....
Tired and needs maintenance. Living room lighting so bad it was unusable. Shower badly caked with sediment. Water leaked all over floor. Our friend’s shower reeked of sulfur and was unusable. Their clothing ended up absorbing the smell and had to be cleaned at the next hotel.
Pool unheated. Lounge cushions need repair and cleaning.
Menu for regular fare limited and doesn’t vary day to day. Tasting menu has multiple courses of raw fish. Breakfast croissant was rubbery and gooey inside. Maybe it was frozen ? Breakfast took long. Our last day we had to leave before scrambled eggs arrived.
This place is no longer top notch. A book about the place makes it look very glamorous but seems to be at least 20 yrs old. It needs attention to detail in all areas-maintenance, food prep and menu.

The Michelin star restaurant was very empty and inside the night we dined there and so had little atmosphere which would not in itself have been an issue except the food was disappointing with slightly strange flavours like the chilli garlic granita and very expensive

Located on the island of Salina in one of the best towns, called Malfa, my wife and I had a great 3 night visit. We were so happy we picked this authentic Italian luxury hotel over all the other options on the island of Salina. This was our second time on the island. We stayed at Capo Faro the first time, which was also a fabulous experience. However, we are glad we went to Signum, as the town of Malfa was fantastic and the views from this hotel are breathtaking. We will be back!
