Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla

Unfortunately this was by far the worst exp Ive had using Booking.com and with an expensive hotel branding themselves as luxury.
When we got to the hotel we were informed the air con was broken in our room and there was no alternative room until the following day. We were offered the night free and the option to change room the following day, alongside a portable air con unit that night. We agreed and went to our room. We then got a call to the room to say there were no portable units available. The room was lovely but it was roasting. The next am we were heading out early so I presented to the desk and said we would come back in the afternoon to move room, they advised it was a downgrade but they would refund the difference, I agreed. I got back that afternoon and there was no handover of my am convo, the lady on reception was able to find a room but initially didnt think she could help. The downgraded room was not a nice room, dirty, dark, no working coffee machines (in either room). We stayed as we were leaving early the next day. On our check out they initally charged full price which was not cheap, had no handover of the agreement we had made initally and kept me waiting to discuss and the return and offer me a 50pc discount of 1st night and full rate 2nd night. I asked to discuss with management but was told they would on my behalf and then finally agreed to honour the inital offer. I asked for an email to confirm this and have not yet recieved this or my refund. I have sent follow up emails to the hotel which have been ignored and this was all before I decided to write a public review. I held back giving them the benefit of doubt but I am apalled at how a small hotel can treat their customers so poorly and disrespectfully. I urge anyone considering stay here to think otherwise, it is a charming hotel but there several others in the same location and we had friends staying all through the city for a wedding none of whom had a bad experience.

Siamo arrivati all’hotel e abbiamo scoperto (senza che ci venisse segnalato) che non andava l’aria condizionata (con 40 gradi all’esterno). Ci hanno scritto almeno 3/4 messaggi indicandoci dove parcheggiare/ chiedendo l’orario d’arrivo ma una menzione al fatto che ci fosse un disservizio non si è vista. Era impraticabile dormire in quella stanza con un clima del genere siamo andati via e almeno hanno avuto la cortesia di rimborsarci. Da un 4 stelle pluripremiato ci si aspettava sicuramente piu correttezza e trasparenza.

The air conditioning unit went out for a few hours. It worked out ok, but was warm for a while. Also, the breakfast was excellent, but a bit pricey.

Air conditioning was never fixed the three days that we were there.

La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas, ils nous ont donné une autre chambre car nous avons insisté pour changer.
L accueil était moyen, très impersonnel à part une stagiaire qui se faisait de son mieux .Nous sommes arrivés peu avant 15 h la chambre n était pas prête, ils nous ont fait patienter avec une boisson (verre pas propre : rouge à lèvres ) par contre personne n est venu nous prévenir quant la chambre était prête .

I couldn't figure out how to turn on the air conditioning, but I opened the window and slept better with the fresh air :D

Diesmal erhielten wir ein Minizimmerchen zum mehr als doppelten ! Preis der Suite von damals. Das hat mich sehr enttäuscht 😞 Fühlte sich wie ein Strafe an ,dass ich vor mehreren Wochen gebucht hatte -zumal jene Suite am heurigen Abreisetag (Samstag ! ) wiederum zu einem günstigen Preis zu haben war .
