I liked the hotel
It was very well located to the Alamo and other downtown sights. The hotel is the most dog friendly hotel in the city and the pet fees were surprisingly low compared to other places around. Hotel Gibbs has the best breakfast spread of any hotel I have ever been as well.

The staff was nice & the location was okay except for the construction going on was so loud & the view of the Alamo was pretty much blocked!
The room was dusty & had trash behind the fridge area also hair In the shower on the wall, the construction going on & paid for view of Alamo that was completely blocked pretty much!
Staff was greatand they had an outstanding breakdown of a lot of choices.

Wonderful breakfast spread! This was far better and more than a 'continental' breakfast. The room was cozy and had all the amenities you need. Location is central to all the downtown locales.
I can't think of anything. This place was great.
Whatever you do with the Valet at the Gibbs, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS IN YOUR CAR. They/VALET stole my car universal charger, and they asked me to contact the manager - he/ replied that they checked the camera and nothing happened>

Cleaning could improve as they missed a lot of spots from the last time we visited...
The stately vibe of the building
Shower too cold
Staff went out of their way to meet our needs. We had to leave a day early to beat the winter storm and they gladly refunded our money. Every morning i requested decaf coffee and they made a pot and delivered a cup to me with a smile. We greatly appreciated our stay there
Breakfast was excellent, staff was great.
I just wish that the lounge offered more food and beverage selection.
