The hotel ambiance is absolutely beautiful, and the staff throughout the property were genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. The food quality was good overall.
- A few notable issues:
On the night of 12/28, there was very heavy rain, and when we woke up the next morning there were roof leaks in three different areas of our room, which was disappointing given the caliber of the property and the nightly rate.
- The biggest issue, however, was the wristband system for the on-property parties;
There were multiple parties held on the property over several consecutive nights, including the New Year’s Eve party. Even as hotel guests, we were not allowed to use credit cards at the bars. Instead, we were required to preload money onto a wristband each night at a separate station and then use only that wristband to order drinks.
- What was most frustrating:
1. The wristband had to be reloaded every single night.
2. Any unused balance could not carry over, even when parties were held back-to-back at the same venue on the property.
3. The remaining balance was not refundable.
4. Unused funds were simply kept by the hotel each night.
5. At checkout, we were told to return the wristbands or be charged a $150 replacement fee per band. We had already thrown them away and were asked to retrieve them from the trash can in our room to avoid the charge.
I understand that with multi-day parties the hotel is trying to prevent wristbands from being shared, but demanding wristbands when you are checking out creates a very poor final impression — especially for guests who chose to stay onsite for the convenience of enjoying the events. Being required to preload money nightly that is then forfeited if unused, combined with demanding the wristbands back at checkout, felt unnecessarily punitive.
NOTHING
THERE IS A CONSTRUCTION AT THE HOTEL, ITS NOT COMFORTABLE TO SPEND TIME AT THE BEACH. THE TEAM IS NOT HELPFUL. THEY NEVER TRY TO HELP YOU. THEY NEVER LISTEN.

AMAZING experience. It was exactly what my daughters and I were looking for .. definitely coming back 😍
The staffs are very attentive.
The resort and the rooms are beautiful. But the service was pretty awful from our experience. Staff ks friendly but pointless when it came to basic things. We had a broken light outside of our room entrance and we repeatedly asked them to fix it daily and it was not fixed until our last night after my husband had a stern talk with them. It was dangerous to walk in and out of our room in the darkness, a total safety hazard. Basic things like face clothes were not replenished during cleaning and housekeeping kept the doors opened during service which welcomed a a swarm of mosquitos into our room. If you like a beautiful jungle setting and don’t mind getting eaten alive by mosquitos, then this is your spot!
Staff is very friendly and room is quite large with a good quality bed. The food is good and the hotel infrastructure is quite charming, well integrated in the environment. you don't have the impression to be in a big soul less resort.
You can just walk to the beachfront and enjoy the poolside or the carribean sea (provided the beach is not covered up in brown algaes). Hotel is not too far (5 min drive) from the natural reserve of Sian Ka'an which is worth exploring.
Quite a few things to mention that tuned the mood a bit down:
- Restaurants are pricey, even more expensive than in France (where i come from), and i wasn't expecting that.
- Air conditionning system and ventilation in the room are very noisy and cannot be stopped, it can be bothersome.
- Music all the time: you can't just enjoy the sound of the waves or the birds...music is playing all the time. to me it's quite annoying
- Some annoying details: no laundry service although it is mentionned in the equipment. breakfast included ok, but only coffee, tea drinkers have to pay for their tea (i mean, come on ! where do you see that ?). Also, breakfast is included but the service of bringing the plate to your table is not included, so you pay like 5 bucks each time. this is a bit ridiculous to be honest and it makes you feel like a walking source of pesos to be drained everytime you move a finger.
Love everything ❤️
Very beautiful property, especially the vegetation and the spa. The concierge was excellent as it was the staff serving breakfast. The receptionist was not very attentive, I would say even impolite, showing some frustration amd addressing us with little patience.
Amazing experience
A beautiful location
wonderful! highly recommend. Raquel my concierge was amazing helped me make reservations at restaurants and tours. Cant wait to go back!
Very clean and superb accommodations inside the nature. We have walked by and entered to different hotels in Zina Hotelera and not even once we had regretted staying at this place.
It was okay experience, definitely would not go back. Highly recommend some other hotel with much better service and care.
Great staff! You get assigned a concierge ours was Raquel he set up our transportation and atv with ease and front desk even book are reservations for dinner at Rosa negra
The wonderfully wide beachfront property sprinkled with pools and organically designed rooms and cabins nestled in the jungle still steal the show. While the rooms smell a bit moldy, the front desk is not well trained or responsive, and the beach/restaurant employees focus more on talking with themselves than the guests, it’s a wonderful experience.
