Perfect location
Pros:

Our stay was good .
We booked a double room but ended up with a double and a sofa bed .which was fine but made for a tight squeeze.
Especially when your someone who likes to look out the window and watch the world go by .I also near ripped my leg open on a few occasions with the hinges that stick out of the sofa bed !!
Breakfast was fine .plenty choice but be warned it can get chaotic at times .I dont know if it's a busy hotel all the time or was it just busy Coz it was half term.
Hotel is in a perfect location ,everything is within walking distance .
Taxi ride for about 5/10 pound from the train station .
Handy to have a phone available in reception to call a taxi .taxi arrived within 5 minutes .
Would stay here again if I'm ever in Liverpool again.

Good Option for City Centre Stay
Pros:

Very Good, quiet location for city centre shops, restaurants, bars, Albert Dock, Waterfront.
Comfortable roomy rooms and lovely shower, clean, breakfast was better than we expected - staff taking guests to tables helped but waited a long time for hot breakfast items to be replenished. Staff very pleasant. Good Left Luggage system. We have stayed many times in Liverpool accommodation and would stay here again.

Goid value
Pros:

Clean, updated and nicely located. Quiet street and on site parking (20 pounds per night with your stay - have it validated as soon as you check in though!) Walking distance from the hop on busses and steps from a Tesco.

Lovely, friendly hotel
Pros:

We were in Liverpool on a city break while going to a match. The staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. One of our rooms had a lovely view across the waterfront. The lobby and mezzanine were both great chill out areas. Breakfast was fine. It could have had more fruit . Staff organised the seating arrangements at Breakfast, ensuring best use was made of tables. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely stay there for future Liverpool matches

Hotel success!
Pros:

We came for my surprise birthday trip after turning 60 in Dec. My first time here (apart from football match!). It was everything that the reviews say. The hotel was brilliant in terms of location, hotel very clean, bedrooms have everything you need inc iron and hairdryer, kettle etc and the staff very friendly. Our room had a settee which was a bonus for chilling. In fact, the only complaint as such was that we found the bed too firm which nearly killed hubby and myself but Emma went out of her way and got us a mattress topper. The breakfast was wonderful. So varied in everything you could want. Again, staff lovely and didnt buzz around you which can be off putting. Its only short walking distance to the dock etc and the pub is good across the way, very friendly (The baltic Fleet).

Perfect location
Pros:

Booked through Hilton points which would not allow us to book a room for the four of us (2 x parents, 12 year old and 16 year old) so was forced to book two rooms…but was then allocated a room with a double pull out made up for 4 people! So could have just booked the one room!

As we arrived before check in we left our bags with reception for safe keeping. We assumed they would be put safe in a room but when we returned later in the evening they had been left out in the foyer where we left them! This must be a staff issue as the following morning the staff member took them from us over the counter and placed in the office behind so just be mindful before leaving that they are safe!

Rooms were nice and clean except marks on my daughter’s sheets which we did not notice until fully pulling back the following morning. A comfortable night sleep on the most part except I did not find the pillows comfortable at all. They were almost too big and gave me neck ache. I did find a smaller one on the pull out bed the next morning so maybe as for a smaller one if you find uncomfortable.

Breakfast was plentiful…except the orange juice had clearly been watered down! This is really disappointing as not the quality I would expect from this chain ( and have not experienced this when we have stayed before). Really lowered the overall experience for me.

On the whole though was great location, friendly staff. Great base for a trip to Liverpool

Superb Service
Pros:

Occasionally things do go wrong with all hotels, it's about how an organisation puts things right that makes all the difference. Our new years eve stay was one of those occasions. The things that went wrong were not the fault of the hotel, more down to the inconsiderate nature of a few guests. I've travelled a lot, look at my reviews.. never have I experienced such understanding levels of service from a member of staff. I was so impressed, I have just cancelled a booking with one of your rivals and switched to the Hampton in York for my wife's birthday on The 7th Jan. I do hope that field management read these reviews, if so, you have a member of staff in Liverpool called Kort. I can't say enough good things about this guy, what an asset to your company he is. Thank you..

Definitely the best service in Liverpool
Pros:

The night between 30th and 31st December 2025 we arrived at the hotel and we were efficiently assisted by two employees (2 males) who truly understand the meaning of excellent customer service.

They both deserve special recognition for their outstanding service.

Stayed with my adult son asked for twin room
Pros:

Booked a twin room and got a double with a sofa bed. When I opened it the bedding on it was filthy. It was changed but the bed was SO uncomfortable. Reception is tired. Sofas are badly worn. Staff were lovely and room was clean. Good location

Just ok needs improving
Pros:

10 mins walk to Liverpool 1 and 5 mins to Albert dock.
Bedroom good enough clean and spacious.
But… the reception area/bar is poor not kept very clean and chaotic. No senior management around to sort.
Breakfast is basic watered down orange juice and again not great.
They definately need to improve/invest in the public spaces
Premier Inns are better.

Okay stay
Pros:

Good location near the docks and conference centres. Appears short staffed at times. Breakfast was average - could improve on the quality of sausages, having fried eggs as an option and having warm croissants - which would have made a big difference. Rooms were good and clean. Did not get the usual HH Gold upgrade sadly. Overall a pleasant stay.

Not up to the standard of service and accommodation I’d expect from a Hilton Hotel
Pros:

We booked two rooms together several months before our arrival. We were told our room with a view over the river had been relocated to a small box room on the Mezzanine floor. A small window looking onto adjoining tower lock. I had to stand on the bed to close it. So no view of the Albert dock land and beyond. Air con unit had a mind of its own which sometimes overcooled the room for no apparent reason with a somewhat noisy fan. The TV was faulty and took two trips to reception before a girl came to check it out.
We told her the remote was probably the cause. She came back after a few minutes having worked wonders with the buttons. Resolving the problem. So we got settled in an hour late because of that. She offered us a complimentary drink at the bar, an amount to the value of, off our final bill would have been more acceptable. Noticeable lack of customer service attitude throughout our stay. Breakfast was a bit of a task to say the least. Spent most of my trip to the buffet bending down to retrieve plates which were cold. Only eggs available were scrambled and maybe boiled. Probably the worse case hotel breakfast I’ve ever experienced. To make matters worse our last breakfast was on Footie Derby Day. Hotel was full and lack of edibles at breakfast easily noticed. Seating only available many yards from the buffet area. This hotel is quarter mile from the main attractions such as city bus tours and dock land museums. Take note as sightseeing in this City is taxing on your strength. Loads to see and visit. The people are lovely but watch out for e bikes and scooters, they’re everywhere and think they own the pavements. Another fact which dragged this hotel down to a generous 2 Star, ( a very rare event where my reviews are concerned) We asked for a taxi to take us to Lime Street Station in good time for our train. My wife had to ask reception to confirm it’s arrival time she said it was a black city taxi and would be on its way. We started to get worried about making it to the platform in time so my we called for a taxi using the courtesy taxi phone in the foyer. That arrived almost immediately and took all our luggage and got us to the train on time driven by a very obliging lady. We reckon the hotel has a contract with Black Cabs and no doubt get commission from hires they secure. My wife sent a set of comments asking us our opinion about our stay. This was a reply to a e-mail sent by the hotel. We never received an acknowledgement or any form of apology or compensation for changing our room or for the taxi scrambles. No more Hilton stays for us. We are advising friends of issues we encountered during our stay. The hotel will know which e-mail my wife sent, as it will contain points I have raised.
Don’t let this report put you off visiting Liverpool, it’s a great city, lovely people, plenty to do and places to eat and drink.

Good One Night Stay
Pros:

I stayed here again for one night whilst on business in Liverpool. Overall, the experience was positive with good service from friendly, efficient staff and a comfortable room. This time I had a 5th floor room which was really quiet and made for a good night’s sleep.
There is a secure underground car park, charged at £20 a night, which is decent price for city centre parking.
My only observation would be that the breakfast offering could be improved, particularly having more staff available to keep tables cleared and the buffet stocked. Seems a lot to put on one person.
This is a decent choice of hotel if visiting the city centre. I would stay here again when next in Liverpool.

The Worst Breakfast - ever!
Pros:

Probaby the worst breakfast experience you will ever have!
Stayed here for a two night stay (Fri/Sat). The room smelt of damp. We could've complained but we were advised at checking that the hotel was completely sold out, so we didn't bother. Soon as you walked in the room you could smell that stale dampness - unpleasant. The breakfast experience is so stressful, mess everywhere, tray stackers blocking the way, these were nearly always full. two coffee machines, on both mornings there was one that was nearly always out of action. Food on floor, cutlery shortage, I had to go searching around for a fork as all the little holders for cutlery we often empty. Ppl queing to enter breakfast area blocking access to/from the door to the lift. Staff would take a couple of plates off the stacker and walk them through breakfast area to be cleaned - just take the whole stacker trolley!! Honestly it was such a chaotic stressful experience. Take my advice, just go and stay at another hotel. We complained after leaving upon rating the experience of the room. Hilton did offer us a 50% refund of the £266 stay, but then actually only gave us £83. Have had a issue at another Hilton in the past, so will never stay at a Hilton again.

Tired hotel in need of a re-vamp
Pros:

We were looking forward to the stay, but unfortunately the hotel was understaffed and the rooms and hotel were tired. Trays of dirty plates left all over the reception area after breakfast. Not a good look. The extractor in our bathroom did not work and we reported this but it wasn’t fixed. The lampshade in our room was also damaged. For the money there are definitely better places to stay in Liverpool we will not be returning.

Hampton by Hilton needs to raise its game
Pros:

Arrived and staff were friendly and attentive, Polly sorted out a quiet area of the hotel and extra pillows 👍

Our room was fine although the bed was past its best and both my partner and I struggled to get any sleep it really was an uncomfortable night.

When I mentioned this to staff upon booking out they were not interested in the slightest

Breakfast was ok although most things overcooked and not the best,,
