When there is no parking space, guests are advised to park their car at the public parking 'Vrijdagmarkt P1'.

I will leave a longer and more detailed review in due course. Suffice it to say at this stage that the gentleman who introduced himself at the "manager" could not and would not justify the most cynical example of grossly appalling customer service that it has EVER been my misfortune to encounter. Perhaps he was just the barman who had been put into the front line? We have stayed in superb hotels in the last couple of months in Madrid, Athens, London, Bruges and Amsterdam, and in my career have enjoyed fine hotels in (probably) every major economy from Taipei to Oslo and from Joberg to Scotsdale. I feel that I am very fortunate to be very well qualified to understand what makes a great hotel. I have NEVER encountered such grossly appalling customer service as we received from the Harmony Hotel in Ghent. We will ever again subject ourselves to this Hotel. Perhaps not!
Had a great time at the Hotel Harmony. From the moment I arrived, I thought, "Oh, this is a very classy establishment." The front desk people were all very kind and helpful, giving me directions (including which bus to take and where to pick it up), restaurant suggestions, and ordering a taxi.
The room was super clean, and the bar has a bottle filler, which is a huge deal since there's no such thing as free water in Belgium, I learned!
The location right on the river was also so picturesque and, from a tourist standpoint, what more could you want? Only thing I would have changed was the weather, but that's not the hotel's fault!
Wir haben das exklusive Doppelzimmer mit Flussblick gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte sogar eine eigene Badewanne.
Da ich bereits im Vorhinein geplant hatte, meiner Freundin einen Antrag zu machen, habe ich das Hotelpersonal miteinbezogen, um die Überraschung aufrechtzuerhalten. Das Personal war unglaublich hilfreich und freundlich. Am nächsten Morgen bekamen wir sogar noch ein kostenloses Frühstück.
Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet: direkt im Zentrum von Gent und nur etwa zwei Minuten zu Fuß von der Burg entfernt.
Der Antrag war erfolgreich, und dadurch wurde der Aufenthalt natürlich noch schöner als ohnehin schon. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The location of the hotel is ideal for enjoying Ghent. Minutes walk from the historic area, shopping, sights and restaurants but just away enough not to be noisy. We booked a room with a balcony which did not disappoint. The room was very large and well equipped. The weather was hot and sitting outside to enjoy the view and enjoy the sunshine really added to our experience of Ghent. Any staff that we spoke with were very helpful and friendly. Would we go back? In a heartbeat.
This was a delightful visit to Ghent, the Hotel Harmony offered exceptional service from all staff a very relaxed and friendly feel and in a great position.

Great location with everything in walking distance.
Convenient parking on site.
The staff were friendly and helpful in particular the lady called Nan at breakfast, a real asset.
Lovely sized room facing the river.
Quite difficult navigating to the hotel and avoiding the restricted areas.
Although car parking was convenient it was expensive at 40 Euros a day.
The lighting in the room was a little unusual, one switch operated the main room, bathroom and toilet, so if you needed the toilet in the night, you had to have all the lights on.
The room was really large and had a fantastic view over the canal - just as I had requested. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and the serving staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located very centrally and was close to all the local attractions. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to help you - would highly recommend.

Die Suite ist sehr großzügig, hat hohe Decken und ist wunderschön gestaltet.
Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es gibt u.a. frische belgische Waffeln.
Heel vriendelijke ontvangst, goede service, heerlijk ontbijt. Het hotel is perfect gelegen in het stadscentrum, met vele horeca gelegenheden in de buurt en alle bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand. Prachtige kamers, met een goed werkende airco, fijne douche, apart toilet, prima bedden. Kortom, een perfect verblijf.
Om te parkeren, vantevoren aanmelden, dan kun je bij het hotel een plek reserveren.
