The area 'Tolhuis' is accessible from the highway (R40) via the access roads Tolhuislaan or Doornzelestraat. When there is no parking space, guests are advised to park their car at the public parking 'Vrijdagmarkt P1'.

Great location next to the river. Room a good size but sloping ceiling means it’s even too low to sit up in bed! Nice bathroom.
Bar quite limited - can only make drinks on the menu. Take a five minute walk to Jiggers down the road for superb cocktails.

De keuze bij het ontbijt. Ze maken op vraag spek, omelet en wafels wat een meerwaarde is. Qua charcuterie ( vlees,kaas,... ) was de keuze eerder beperkt. Voor de rest is alles wel aanwezig en wordt het goed aangevuld.
The location was great, and the value was good.
The staff was somewhat surly, and room room was very odd. We were in an attic room and really had to watch out hitting our heads. The lighting and heating were on a central panel with no switches or explanation for how it worked. We did get some services we needed, but it seemed so.ewhat grudgingly guven.
My stay at the Hotel Harmony was a great experience and a highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. I had a room on the first floor and appreciated the design detail that went into assuring that it was quiet. Most impressive for me was the entire hotel staff as they are all engaging and looking to make your stay the best possible. They are very responsive and accommodating. One small example, I had an early departure and they welcomed me to the breakfast area early to accommodate. Very nicely done!
De ligging van de accommodatie was perfect. Rustig, maar midden in het centrum. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en hielp ons fijn bij de beste tips voor het eten in Gent! De kamer was perfect, zag er super netjes en schoon uit.
What an amazing hotel, which really does tick all the boxes. We are frequent travellers, and it is rare for us to come across a hotel which exceeds our expectations in every way.
We stayed at the Hotel Harmony for two nights in February half term to celebrate my husband's Birthday. We prebooked our parking and on entering Gent realised that the hotel was situated in a pedestrian only zone, hence had difficulty locating it. We called reception and were given precise directions to the car park for which we were so grateful. Upon arrival, we were greeted with such professionalism and friendliness, with restaurant recommendations, boat trip information and the like.
Our family room for 3 was absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed a canal side view. My husband was presented with a Birthday card and personalised bottle of beer, and each morning our daughter was left a packet of Haribos! Our water and coffee pods were replenished daily, and our room was immaculate.
Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced during a European trip, and there was plenty of variety to suit all tastes, including freshly baked waffles, omelettes...
On top of all of this, the hotel's location cannot be beaten. Directly next to the canal, with an abundance of eateries on its doorstep, and within a short walk of all the main sights.
We hope to return to Gent during a spring or summer, and won't waste our time looking at alternative hotels. We highly recommend, and assure you, you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic canal-side location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room with excellent facilities (the Japanese bidet toilet was a personal highlight) and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while (the freshly cooked waffles are amazing)
Only a minor gripe but the pillows are too small making sleeping a little uncomfortable and the room temperature was set too high although it was easy to adjust and the staff didn’t set it back. Also another minor gripe but we advised staff that my partner was diabetic and needed to store insulin in the fridge and despite them reassuring us that housekeeping would be informed on two occasions we returned and found that they had removed the key card and cut power to the fridge.
