Unfortunately, our stay in Hotel Harmony wasn’t at all what we expected for a four star hotel. Upon our arrival, we were offered to check in early in to our room if we would be willing to pay 25 euros extra. We had just came from a wonderful four star hotel in Brugge where it was no issue to check in early without any additional fee. This, however, was just a minor inconvenience. Throughout the day we heard fire alarm being fixed/tested but none of the staff members explained what was going on. The following night we - and all the other guests - woke up 1 am into very loud fire alarm sound and many of the guests had to evacuate the building. Nobody was guiding us guests out. Some of the guests had tried to evacuate from the back doors but they were locked. We were later considering if this is a major safety concern in case of actual fire in front of the building as there was only one way to exit. We, as the rest of the guests, stood outside in the cold for a while until one receptionist came and explained in Dutch that a new fire alarm system has been installed and it’s rather sensitive. Thankfully, no fire took place. However, apology wasn’t issued properly until the next day. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and staff at the breakfast were friendly. Rooms could do a little improvement – it lacked the details and comfort you’d expect for a four star hotel.
Spend there two nights with my girlfriend in February. The location of the hotel is perfect, however our stay was not what we expected... Although we had a direct booking form the hotel website and had informed we are visiting Ghent for a special occasion and asked for a nice room, upon availability of course, we where asked to pay extra in order to choose specific room. We didn't want to pay more, since the price was already quite high for our standards, so we let the hotel to choose the room for us. We where given a room in the ground floor which in order to access you had to go out of the hotel and back in. There was only a small window with no view at all and that room definitely didn't deserve what we had payed. I checked online at that date we had justed checked in at other booking platforms for these dates at and saw that there where at least two more rooms available in the same room category for our dates. Both rooms where much better in a high floor, so I don't really know why we where given such an awful room. If you choose to stay at this hotel (which in general I don't recommend) be sure not to stay in a room at the ground floor. However, the most serious thing which happened, was that the omelette which the staff cooked for me in the breakfast before we check out, made me sick after some hours and I was in fever and vomiting all day.. I know it was the omelette, because with my girlfriend we ate all same things from the buffet and she didn't ate only from that and she was totally ok. Unfortunately I was not able to inform the staff, because we had reached Brussels (we took the train after some hours) when I started feeling sick...
Professional and knowledgeable staff. Great recommendations for meals out.

A small but lovely hotel. Great location. Really nice breakfast. Beautiful room with a view. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Ontbijt en ligging heel goed

İ liked the breakfast.
i didn't like the bathroom.
We stayed for two nights, and had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and had good amenities - a nice bathroom, a good desk, decent coffee, a comfortable bed, and seating with a wonderful view of the canal. Breakfast was also excellent: many options and high quality, with friendly staff.
Stayed for a midweek break over 3 nights. Have to say it was a brilliant stay. The staff were so friendly, our room was clean, spacious and modern. The only small issue I had were the pillows were not great. They were square and small, and one seemed to low and 2 too high, but this of course is a personal taste!
Breakfast was good, not an overly large selection...only scrambled eggs and bacon (which was very, very crispy) you could order fried eggs or omelette on demand, but no sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. Other selections such as fruit, cereal, pastries etc were plentiful however
Location was brilliant as was the bar and drinks.
Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommended the hotel and would happily stay here again
Sauber, schöne Zimmer, freundliches Personal, zentrale Lage.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The location is superb and the rooms were very well equipped and very comfortable.
No problems at all.
Perfect location facing the water and on a cobbled street. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The lounge area was great and water available all the time if you didn't want to go to the bar.

Perfect location. The room was really nice and spacious with a very comfy bed. The atmosphere in the hotel was excellent and this is because the staff are truly excellent. We were
so well looked after, particularly by Frederik and Vera. They were both very helpful and gave us some excellent recommendations. We have already booked our next trip (our third).
