The hotel was excellent. The cleanliness, comfort, location, and staff were all outstanding.
A special thank you to the entire hotel team for making our stay truly memorable. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a perfect experience.
We especially appreciated their kindness in receiving and safely storing my package until our arrival. That thoughtful gesture made a big difference and was greatly appreciated.

The only suggestion for improvement would be to add air conditioning to the rooms. During the summer, the rooms can become quite warm, and this would make the stay even more comfortable.

Beautiful hotel perfectly located footsteps from the shopping and restaurant precinct. The concierge staff were the friendliest, most helpful we have ever encountered. Gorgeous room with amazing views. Great pool, gym, spa, bar and restaurants

All Stunning - hotel, terrace, restaurant, service and room. Excellent location. A 10 without doubt.
I had many options when choosing where to stay in Cortina d’Ampezzo and ultimately selected Grand Hotel Savoia based on its central location and the beautiful room categories available. For this special trip, I decided to splurge and booked a Premium Mountain View Room, paying approximately AUD $1,000 per night, expecting the experience to match the room description and photos.
Unfortunately, the stay got off to a very disappointing start. On arrival, I was taken to my room and immediately felt it did not match the images or description of the Premium Mountain View Room shown on both Expedia and the hotel’s own website. When I contacted reception, I was initially told that this was the correct room category. After several conversations, including with the hotel manager, they eventually acknowledged that the room did not match the published images and upgraded us to a suite, which was the least they could do considering i was literally in tears,
It was disappointing that it took so much effort to have the concern recognised. Starting a special holiday feeling that upset was not the experience we had hoped for, and I do feel the situation could have been handled much better from the beginning.
Putting this aside, the hotel itself is beautiful. The suite we were eventually given was wonderful, and the hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Cortina, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you need. The valet parking was also excellent, and the gentleman who assisted us with our car and luggage was absolutely wonderful — friendly, professional, and a real highlight of the service experience.
Cortina itself is a fantastic base for exploring the Dolomites, and we loved the location. While the hotel has a beautiful property and an excellent position, the initial service experience unfortunately affected our overall impression. For a luxury stay at this price point, I would have expected a higher level of customer care from the outset.
