The pub is nice
The room was sweltering hot, hotter than any other part of the hotel or pub, with only an ineffective desk fan provided, and the staff were not particularly apologetic about this. Parking is also very hit or miss. Expensive, too, for what it is.
Beautiful property in the shadows of the cathedral . Excellent base for exploring the city . Room was so nice , with some very quirky features. Amazing facilities, menu and staff
The hotel is in a lovely building. The staff were friendly and checking in was quick. We booked a cozy double (room 2) which was quite spacious I thought! The toiletries were lovely but no cotton pads/ buds/ shower cap etc. Also no slippers/ gowns. We had breakfast included which was average to good. My muffin was stale and we had to wait a short time as they had run out of eggs! The hot food we had was nice but if you were paying the £12.50 for the breakfast table (pastries/cereal/limited fruit) I didn't feel that was value for money. All in all a comfortable stay for 1 night. Parking was easy.

Location was good
The apartment was dated, perhaps this was the style they were going for
BAthroom looked more like a prison cell bathroom needs a shower screen!
Clean and very friendly staff
No air con or a fan in the room
Great location. Food and service in the restaurant during late lunch was excellent. The room was perfect! Very comfortable bed! Loved the small touches like fresh milk to make tea and mini shortbread biscuits. Lovely personal touch! Having early check in. Worth the extra ££’s.
When the parking was full due to a wedding and football. Maybe a suggestion is if hotel is holding an event of any kind to inform other guests of this before there stay. Would be nice to be able to pay to reserve for parking or even be able to use the opposite parking at the townhouse apartments. Parking is very limited. It can potentially put a damper on stay at the hotel!
The location was very good, it's a beautiful building and the rooms are very nice and well equipped. Very quiet at night. Food in the restaurant was very nice.
There were three things i would improve
1. When I was checked in I was given a room that was already occupied, something I found out when I entered the room to see someone's clothes on the bed and suitcase in the corner, luckily the person wasn't in the room at the time or it could have been much worse. I was upgraded to a new room but it was a worrying mistake.
2. The second room I was put into was lovely but didnt have a lock on the inside of the door. After I'd just been able to access someone else's room by mistake, it made me uncomfortable that I couldn't lock the door as a single woman travelling alone. A simple lock or latch would improve security.
3. The pub was nice but when I went in to get some food in the evening there were dirty plates and glasses all over 4 of the large tables. It was a hot day and they had clearly been there a while, the staff were walking past and no one cleared them. They were still sitting there when I went back to the room after my meal, it wasnt a great impression.
Great location, lovely rooms.
We went for a drink in bar well before last orders. Barman not keen to serve what was cleaned down, appreciate it was latish but still would expect to be able to choose a drink !
Really great staff and good location. Room was fine.
The menu read wonderful but the food was not really very good. Expensive and disappointing.
Location and the making of a great place
Service is very slow and the restaurant is average at best
Spacious, quiet on a night, decent bathroom
Too warm, no way to stay cool. Basic fan not good enough.
Amazing room, such a great vibe, nice bar, great garden area

Apartment was comfy and well-equipped but decor a tad tired
