Comfortable room and great food and bar just next door
A little bit expensive for what you get compared to other places in Norwich
Really lovely place at the back to sit, have a drink and a meal. Loads of places to sit, under the trees and a lovely atmosphere
Room 5 was so hot, am sure all the rooms in that part of the hotel would be the same. Really nicely decorated and lovely antiques but the heat in the room was unbearable. There was a fan in the room but all that did was move the warm air around. I do accept it's an old building but you really do need portable air conditioning units in these rooms!
Very clean and nice welcome.
No air conditioning.
The tea and coffee facilities, iron was a nice touch and the bottle of water. Good location to walk to the city centre.
The room was a bit tired and in need of decorating. Pillows not good quality, I asked the cleaner to get me a better one and she did.
did not eat breakfast as was not included in the price
the food in the bar the on the evening was very average not great advert used to be so much better not great value very poor check in could not find a key for 20 mins and no printer for my invoice on the way out
The location is great - about 15mins walk into the city centre (market area). Staff were so friendly on our arrival and we were able to park up before check-in so we could visit the town. We were able to park (for free) right outside which was great.
The room was ideal, a great size and so comfortable with the sofa. The small kitchen was really useful so we used this for breakfast and a few dinners (microwave dinners from M&S!). The room was so quiet – we didn't hear other guests or noise from outside.
The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. It was great to have a small hallway with a place to hang our coats. We stayed for 4 nights so it was good to be able to unpack fully and have space to put our belongings.
Appreciated a good hairdryer (not one attached to a wall) and a fan.
We really enjoyed Norwich – we loved the independent shops and cafes as well as the cathedral and castle. A really vibrant place and with great bookstores, antique shops and charity shops for a rummage...the Royal Arcade is also really nice for shopping and a coffee.
We also went to the Georgian Townhouse pub which was lovely, food was very good and we had some drinks in the beer garden on a sunny day.
Nothing, all was great!

Bathroom very good for needs, but my bed was lacking a rail or headboard which made it difficult to get in or out
we stayed for 1 night as we saw an event at earlham park and we cant give too many faults on how nice this place is
room was lovely ,quite warm and we had a fan but it wasnt quiet so would have been nice to have a window we could open
bed was lovely ,bathroom very nice but toilet seat wouldnt stay up so so had to hold it while trying to pee :)
water was so hot when even first turn of taps ,shower was lovely but it maybe needs a cleaning of the shower head as the spray was going everywhere but overall its a lovely place with a pub next door
as above
The managers were very good and the food was good.
We had a couple of issues with the room we were given, but after a polite chat with the duty manger, it was sorted immediately with no fuss, we were given another room to stay in.
The restaurant staff need a little more training, especially the younger ones, a simple question about what could be ordered from the bed and breakfast menu was not able to be answered by the younger staff member, but luckily the duty shift manager heard the question and corrected it with the right answer.
