A really lovely place, great location and my room was spacious and clean. The owners were so incredibly helpful and welcoming, when I come back to Haarlem, I'll definitely stay here again!
Nothing
The hosts, Henk and Annemarie, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Breakfast was simply delightful. It was prepared with love and care, and we felt happy to wake up each morning. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was great. We were sad to say goodbye at the end of our stay.
Honestly, there was nothing I could think of that would have made our stay better. Henk and Annemarie were wonderful hosts, and I hope we’ll be able to go stay at Hotel Malts again someday.
Breakfast was great. Lots of healthy choices of food and drink.
When we checked out, Henk and Annemarie also made us breakfast to go, as we had to leave at 05.30 hrs.

The room was a small twin and short of wardrobe space, but we managed ok.

The hosts were some of the nicest people we met on our vacation. They greeted us and carried our bags up to our room. Each morning they would greet us for breakfast with a wonderful spread of European style continental breakfast. They were attentive and would occasionally ask how we were doing, offering advice and assistance. The main hotel floor and the rooms are up steep stairs, so be prepared for this. The room was extremely clean with a modern bathroom that was big enough to move around in. We reached the hotel from AMS airport using bus 300. You do not need to buy a ticket, simply walk on and tap your card then tap when you get off. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the train that gets you into Amsterdam or to the Hague very smoothly.
There is nothing to complain about. This hotel was perfect.
The people are wonderful, treat you like family. Very knowledgeable about area. The breakfasts are amazing, with many options. Location was perfect. Haarlem provides easy access to everywhere without the hassle of Amsterdam

Where do I start? Upon (an early!) arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady. She offered us cappuccinos in the cute dining room over looking the idyllic street of businesses. The area was explained with a map to illustrate. On to our room- clean, bright, and cheerful! Walking around to restaurants and attractions was convenient to the hotel. Breakfast- the best! Waited on with fresh orange juice, cappuccino, and fresh healthy options including traditional Dutch breakfast foods. Everything was intentional and perfect!
I didn’t mind, but be prepared for steep stairs upon entering the property. 2 flights to our room. No problem for us but you need to be able bodied to climb up and down them.
