Very clean. Absolutely lovely staff very warm and welcoming !! Stunning views off our balcony of Opononi beach :)

We have stayed at the Hotel before and this time we were lucky enough to have one of the end units which looks directly out to the harbour. There was a continental breakfast which was okay there could have been a bit more food left out. It's always nice to stay here the area is amazing.

The Opononi Hotel is situated in a most beautiful position on the harbour.Our one night stay was lovely . The check in staff were very accommodating and handled the situation great as our booking had not been sent to them . Lucky for us they had vacancies. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Parking was alittle hard to get.. A good welcome at reception. We were asked if everything was ok when we left and have a good trip back.

Loved my stay, and the staff are friendly which helps a great deal. The room was great for what we wanted.

There is a feeling that you are stepping back in time, which matches the environment. It’s a very nice place to stay. But our bedroom was a little too small. However, the shower was roomy modern and very pleasant to use.

The staff were what made our stay special. Friendly, welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. Appreciated their willingness to go the extra mile during an exceptionally busy period.

Also like the old school vibe in the hotel although that comes at the expense of more modern conveniences. But I’m old enough not to let that bother me 😅

The room was perfectly clean and very comfortable linen and bed. Large shower and the balcony was very pleasant to watch the fishermen and the harbour. Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful

Staff friendly, and accommodating. Nice remodeled bathroom. Excellent choice of TV channels. Outstanding views across Hokianga Harbour and to sand dunes. WiFi in lounge and restaurant good but, did not work in room.

Room was clean, and chattels in good condition - cute balcony I worked on in the evening, looking out at the sea. It was pretty small - which is fine for just one, but if you had big luggage or if you were a big person, you might find it a bit poky. Pub would probably be a little noisy if there on a busy night.... had to wait for a wee while before someone was available to check me in (coming across from the bar), but when she arrived, check in was easy and very friendly.

Good comfortable room and surprisingly good bathroom for what you might expect.

Nice location. The room was very hot with no aircon but it was hit when we were there. Great view from the room balcony. While it's not 5 star, it was ok

nice room but poor service & meal was disappointing. the noise from the hotel was terrible past midnight had to ask staff to turn down the music. Nice people but not thinking about their guests at all really.
