Easy to find on main street. Check in staff shown to room. Stairs only. Decent size room with good view and opening window..tea/coffee good selection. Work table. Good 2 single beds. Decent size bathroom/shower. Opening window. Good lighting and a television. Good WiFi. Door card entry. Good reasonable price B&B. Shops/pubs/restaurants. Buses . Station nearby

Cons:

Fidderley door bell /phone numbers on front door. On main road side sum noise. But did sleep.

The TV was too high to put a tv stick in, the guy had to get ladders but the cable wasn't long enough.

Great Location Near Transport and Attractions
Pros:

The location of the Guards Hotel is excellent—very convenient and easily accessible from Waverley Edinburgh railway station by several buses and the tram. It’s also perfectly situated for exploring the city’s main attractions. In fact, I hardly needed to use public transport at all, as most places were within comfortable walking distance. Princes Street feels like a continuation of the Haymarket area, making everything feel very connected and easy to navigate. The staff was very supportive and friendly, always ready to help with any questions.

Cons:

The hotel does not have a lift, which may be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.

Did the job we needed it to & we would recommend and/or stay again in the future.
Pros:

Room was well appointed, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The gentleman who checked us in was very informative, communicative before our arrival, and explained everything to us when we arrived, including showing us to our room.

Cons:

The bottom lock on our door didn't work. The main lock for the key card worked just fine, but the bottom one that you lock from the inside did not work. As we were only staying one night and the hotel was pretty secure, we didn't worry about it. But if we were staying longer, I would have wanted that sorted. We did not notify the manager so he was not aware of this concern so I don't fault them, and it does not deter me from staying again.

L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Edimbourg et le personnel est tres agréable.

Cons:

Certains commentaires évoquaient des problèmes de propreté, ce n'était pas du coup le cas : le ménage était parfaitement fait, tout était très propre. Le problème c'est qu'en dehors du ménage, il ne semble y avoir aucun entretien technique : carreau de fenêtre cassé colmaté par un carton et du scotch, joints de la salle de bain faits n'importe comment, tâches sur le sol, trous dans les murs....comme si la pièce était laissé à l'abandon.
Dommage parce que l'établissement a un potentiel incroyable.
