Excellent food, both at dinner and breakfast, and gluten free options were readily available.
The breakfast and dinner were delicious and it had a great variety of options. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We have stayed here at least 3 times and would come back again. It's in a beautiful location and the rooms are comfortable.

Comfortable spot . Quiet at night. Very clean. Lovely staff
It’s a pity we didn’t have a self catering option. It was hard pay for all meals when you have four teenagers/Adults . Very busy road crossing over to dining room.
Being away from the town, peace and quiet

Nothing all was good, perhaps breakfast could have a better choice of food, bread etc
Location
When staying at the lodge, you have to check-in at the hotel. If you need a new key, you have to go to the hotel. If you want breakfast, you have to walk to the hotel and the hotel is a 5-minute walk. I asked for a late check-out, I got it for 1pm. The cleaning staff barged into my room at 11am... didn't even knock - I'm glad I had the lock on. At noon, the receptionist ask when I was going to leave. I had to make several trips to get everything in my car. I went back up and the key didn't work so the lodge receptionist had to run up to the hotel receptionist to get a new key. Overall, I had a good stay.
The staff are all very friendly and the room was spacious with the bonus of overlooking the river. Lovely location and definitely would recommend a stay here.
We booked to stay New Years Eve again this year as we were there last year and enjoyed it. Unfortunately this year it felt like the hotel was overcrowded. The staff were very friendly but we had a wait for our seat for dinner which we had booked. They seemed to be very busy and the meal, although quite tasty, wasn't hot enough and was probably left waiting to be served a little longer than it should. Because it was so busy and we were hungry we didn't make as issue of it. Unlike last year we didn't stay in the lounge area to ring in the New Year and headed back to our room.
Comfy bed and nice room.
Breakfast banboree is a mess. You have to lift every cover to see what’s in it.
