We did the three capes walk and everything was so convenient for that. The bus from the airport dropped us off close to the apartment as did the bus for our walk the shops were in walking distance and all the activities of the harbour and the markets was super close.

unfortunately the lift didn't work and we were on the forth floor. Shower was also a problem.

The location of the room was excellent. It's within walking distance to great food and local sights. Having parking right outside the door was convenient, and the fact that it’s free over the weekend (if you get a spot) was a great bonus. The room size was perfect for a family of 4. PJ on the front desk was so helpful with giving guidance on activity ideas when the weather wasn't going to be the best.
The only downside during our stay was that the elevator was out of service, so we had to walk up and down four flights of stairs each time we went out wasn’t ideal, especially when checking in with luggage. However, the hotel did informed us of this ahead of time, and we totally understand it was outside their control.
No lift and put on level 4 with luggage and a child
The location is fantastic. The bath has spa jets. The room was very quiet, we slept well. They serviced our room.
The lift was out of order. We were not advised the lift was out of order until after we had paid in full. To their credit, the long suffering staff carried our bags up and down the steps. Thank you! But the 4 high flights of stairs were very hard to take, as I have a chronic illness. The room has too few windows. The windows are undersized. The windows are recessed deep in to the wall. There is no view, it is obscured by a close built office tower next door. The overall effect is very claustrophobic, more like a detention facility than a hotel. The staff were unable to move us to a better room. I had to clean a substance stuck to the wall at pillow height. There is permanent damage to the kitchen bench, and the kitchen and bathroom are overdue for a renovation

Parking options limited. Secure parking is for small vehicles only. We were lucky to score on street parking but that was mainly due to it being a Sunday. Rooms felt a little old and stale with one very small window that didn’t open for air flow but was okay for one night.

Great position right next to the harbour
The lift wasn’t working. They were very helpful and exchanged our 3rd floor room with an upgraded room on the 1st floor however with bad knees even 1 flight of stairs was difficult to manage a couple of times every day and car parking on site is very tight but securely locked
Location was excellent for our stay. Room was very good. We used onsite parking which was good.
The lift was out of order, but we were notified prior to our check in.

There is a smell in the lift hallway - like someone has washed the carpets and not let it dried completely.
The one good thing about the apartment, was the area it was in at Hobart.
After flying in and then catching a Skybus to accommodation, arriving at night (around 6pm) and with no reception open or human contact, just a text with code for front door, another code for box once inside and then a key card for room. When I got inside, there were a few other people waiting in the foyer, as codes didn't work. I also received a text from the Waterfront Apartments, while I was travelling, stating that the lift wasn't working and I would have to use the stairs. They did offer for me to call someone; to arrange help with luggage but not wanting to bother, or knowing how long I would have to wait, I managed to make the 2nd floor, some 40 stairs up, by myself with my luggage. I did receive texts during my stay about the progress with the lift being fixed, then in the end, they didn't know when it would be fixed. They did offer if I wanted to cancel and find somewhere else to stay, that they wouldn't charge me any fees. "Big Of Them". I couldn't get anywhere, on short notice, so stayed. Lift still wasn't fixed when I left on the 16th of March, so 8 days and my entire stay. The unit wasn't clean, carpets awful and the bathroom was in poor shape. Having a shower was scary, due to not being able to regulate the water temperature, the hot water was boiling and when I tried to put the cold on, it made a terrible noise/vibration, like the pipes were going to burst through the wall. I did also try cold water 1st and then hot but it made no difference. I know my room wasn't the only room with water pipe problems, because I could hear the rooms on each side of me, when they used water. I was very disappointed with my stay at the, Hobart Waterfront Apartments and especially being my 1st holiday in years.
The room and location were great and staff were very helpful.
The lift was broken but staff helped us lift one heavy bag.
