Art City Hotel Istanbul - Boutique Class

Staff were rude on arrival. The photos and description on the Expedia website were misleading. No working wifi. The reception area was dirty. The room was dusty. Staff could not find remote for Air Conditioning, temperature was 35C degree; eventually managed to find it. TV did not have a remote so did not work. The toilet bowl moves every time you sit on it. It was so close to the wall you had to sit sideways. No toilet roll holder. No shelves in shower for soap or shower gel. Bathroom floor and shower looked like they were never cleaned; looked grimy. Room floor was never cleaned. Will never stay there again.

Place is very dirty and not looked after at all, staff don’t care at all about any complaints or issues people arise.

I like the location of the hotel, but I didnt like that the hotel doesnt submit breakfast and room service

An excellent hotel. Feels like a home away from home. Wonderful friendly & attentive staff who support their guests. Would defo return. Highly recommend.

The room were very dusty and dirty.Hair and rubbish everywhere.They didn’t clean our room evening after requesting .Staff were very rude and threatening.Felt very unsafe .Never to go back in that place again.It was horrific !!!! The picture of the place on the web are different to what we got.Breakfast is on ground floor not what picture are showing .Never to recommend to person or animal!!

The bathroom has no vent. bad musky smell from bathroom. room also had questionable wifi. small but cozy. everything else were fine.

If you want to be in the real old Istanbul and see how the locals live this is the place to stay !

This place is just pictures. It’s disgusting inside we found a dirty sock in the air conditioning. The room was disgusting even someone homeless won’t stay there

They are just crooks will lie you in second, there is no parking find yourself, when i paid they gave me room underground that you can't breath. We reserved up floors before payment front dest saud yes for all questions after payment turned 360°. We all left hotel to different. These crooks doesn't refunded my money.

The staff kindess and treatment, specifically Rashad, he is so helpful

Stayed in the basement. Water damage on the baseboards. Bed was broken so it sloped on one side. Laundry service messed up some of my clothes. Front desk does a pretty good job. And room service comes about every other day.

It was close to everything specially tram station.

It was a nice place for a reasonable price. The sea view was amazing. Not too far from Sultanahmet

This hotel wasnt my first choice but was given to me by expedia as the one i booked failed to meet the standards and was a catfish experience.
Thanks to expedia who managed to reserve me 4 rooms on a short notice in Istanbul. We were 12 family members with my father in wheelchair we relocated to this hotel at midnight and the reception named Rashad and Mehmet made our stay very pleasant, they were very helpful throughout our 4 nights stay, they were friendly and spoke fairly good english to which we managed to plan our visits via the hotel at a reasonable price.
About the rooms, they are fairly good, had a bosporus view with a small balcony, fridge freezer and tv and were cleaned daily.
The hotel is situated on a hillside so with my elderly parents it was a bit difficult to push around so we had to get taxi and minibus hire, this was arranged by hotel staff at a fair price (unlike some hotels).
There is breakfast arranged by hotel but its situated to the opposite building, not the best but it gets you fuelled up on a morning.
Overall I must say the whole experience of staying at this hotel was very good through the pleasantness of the staff like Rashad and Mehmet. Thanks

Hotel and room were in bad condition. Furthermore, I asked for a room with a double bed and instead I received a room with two beds and very little room to move around.
