Bathroom and linen need a refresh. Location is great.
I did not make it due to a medical issue. Even though i bought had protection with my purchase, The Washington did not even give me a refund! I did say I would submit a medical report too!
Fine
Great Location
There was a cockroaches in my room
The room wasn’t very clean at all … the room as a 4 out of 10. No towel, dirty sheets.
Everything was nice at this hotel
Loved the location and room was perfectly comfortable
Terrible experience – treated horribly during checkout!
I stayed at this hotel on October 6–7, 2025, and had one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. Upon check-in, there was an issue with the $150 security deposit on my international business card. It took almost an hour on the phone with my bank and the front desk to fix it. The staff finally agreed to charge the card directly and refund the $150 upon checkout.
The next day when I tried to check out, my room key didn’t work. The front desk staff claimed I hadn’t paid my deposit (which I had), and spoke to me rudely and disrespectfully. When I asked for her name, she refused and told me to ask the manager. The manager was just as unhelpful, refused to check the records, and even threatened to call security to remove me — while I was six months pregnant.
After nearly 40 minutes of arguing, the original staff member confirmed I had in fact paid. By then, I had missed my flight and had to wait five extra hours at the airport. The entire situation caused extreme stress and exhaustion. To make matters worse, they still haven’t refunded my $150 deposit.
This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I will never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to avoid this property unless management makes serious changes to how they treat their guests.
Don’t be put off by negative reviews - this hotel is great value for money given the location. No food on site or kettle in room which was a downside, and the bar was never open, but there’s a fridge in the room so we took our own mini kettle and were very happy!
Clean
Clean room
The staff was very helpful. This was my first time in New York. I would stay again.
Rooms were clean and housekeeping was very nice
Terrible experience!
Stay away from this place.
Yes, close to everything
great convenient location
Na
Very central location for anyone needing to be in the financial district for meetings, near the NYSE, etc. The property is safe and secure, check in and check out was a breeze, and everyone was gracious, even when I checked in at nearly midnight. The rooms are quite spacious and have everything you need. There is construction across the street, but it's New York, so there seems to always be something getting a facelift! The work didn't bother me as it started a bit later in the day and ended well before my return at the end of the evening.
Great value while visiting Ground Zero.
