Das Personal war sehr freundlich! Das Zimmer war eher klein aber für eine Person völlig ausreichend. Ca 30 Min Gehzeit in die Stadt. Mein Zimmer war schon um 10.45h bezugsfertig.
Die Dusche war ein wenig zu klein.
Clean, quiet, great location and the balcony was lively for breakfast (byo porridge)
The meals area is MASSIVELY under-utilized. Great location awful food, orange juice in a glass not much bigger than a shot glass seemed a bit stingy. Terrible tasteless coffee from automatic machine.

The hotel was beautiful, and the history in the building was phenomenal. The staff were exceptional and helpful with moving of car and parking etc. They were also very knowledgeable about the area. They personally escorted everyone on a quick tour of the facilities and walked you to your room.
Brilliant reception and the hotel was clean and tidy. The breakfast was good too.

There was an issue with this booking, in that booking.com got hacked and the hackers messaged me and my friends through the app attempting to commit fraud. They messaged all guests claiming that they needed to reconfirm card details otherwise the booking would be cancelled, and given that most of us were attending for the night of my wedding this was very stressful. Whilst this is mostly the fault of booking.com, there were many things the hotel could have done better.
Firstly they(the hotel) didn’t communicate with all guests regarding the above and many of us had to contact and inform the hotel ourselves. Secondly they didn’t update us on how the investigation into the issue was going with booking.com and it was never resolved. This is especially concerning as the hackers managed to get all of our personal details to try to commit further fraud on WhatsApp. However perhaps the worst part was that the hotel personally emailed me to ask for my personal credit card details for the prepayment stating that the authorisation had not worked, and that if I did not within a certain amount of time my booking would be cancelled. This message mirrored the message the scammers had sent, and caused further panic. I had to get the receptionist’s personal number to confirm it was really the hotel, and was shocked to find out it was. Given the situation with the scammers I was surprised the hotel would ask for credit card details via email with an ultimatum. The hotel showed little empathy to this situation and also failed to really acknowledge that this is for a wedding and therefore a very important booking. The hotel should improve their communications and how they handle situation, as these situations can affect the entire stay and affect reputation.
On a side note the breakfast was also quite sub par for a four star hotel, with no buffet system and the parts we did pay for did not taste great.
Whilst this is a review of the hotel itself, I’d like to add that booking.
