Homewood Suites by Hilton South Bend Notre Dame Area

We stayed here a few times in the last years, but it seams the place having bad maintenance right now. The laundry place is down and no washing machine is working anymore.

Property was very comfortable and close off the highway. Nice to have happy hour with appetizers and beverages when we arrived.

We always enjoy Homewood Suites for the comfort, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast buffets. We weren't disappointed in most areas. Dakota checked us in and was the perfect host, ensuring the check-in was smooth, our room was all that we expected and we were greeted with a smile and recognition of our honors membership. Our room was comfortable, and well-furnished with adequate towels, dishes, and furnishings. As with all Homewood Suites, the fitness center was well above most hotels with plenty of equipment, towels, water and comfort. Breakfast at this location was somewhat lacking in quality. The scrambled eggs were dry, the oatmeal very soupy, and the variety lacking with no fruit, and the quality overall did not meet Hilton's standards. The staff was friendly and we were efficiently checked out by Haven, again with a friendly smile. As regular travelers at Homewood Suites, we have plenty of opportunity to compare locations, and this one fell short on the breakfast. I do recommend it for a stopover and would use caution on entering and exiting the hotel driveways, since it is located on a busy main street with a location a few blocks from the Interstate exit, which causes extra traffic. One other point regarding the Interstate exit ramp. They closed it after 7 pm, so we had to drive out of our way to get back to the hotel. No fault of the hotel, of course, but better to try to arrive before they close the exit. Overall, I would give this location a B rating and would hope that they can improve the breakfast.

The breakfast was good and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The young lady at the front desk was very nice.

IDK what that first picture is xD but this hotel is very cute and aesthetic! They've got beautiful flowers that brings the place together. Their front desk team is super outgoing and helpful and the rooms have a nice touch to them and I was even given a larger room! You can enjoy a nice evening by their firepit and grill in the courtyard area. They also have a beer and wine wall that I find super convenient and unique. 10/10 stay!

The staff was amazing with everyone going out of their way to greet me and make sure everything was going well.
The hotel and room were immaculate.
Homewood always has a great breakfast and admire the options available to save a few bucks on food to start the day.

The staff were superb. LAURA AND CARR went above and beyond to make my mother and I feel very welcome. One could not ask for better hospitality.

I loved the gaming area they have. I enjoyed the pool table. The breakfast area is pretty and how they have it all set up.

Breakfast was terrible

his hotel falls well below Hilton standards. The sliding bathroom door wouldn’t stay open, so they’d rigged a cheap gate latch that didn’t even close properly. Hot water took five minutes to warm up, then ran cold just as fast. The fridge didn’t cool, the door latch didn’t align, and the “Queen Suite” was actually a full-size bed. And that’s just the start—there’s more. Disappointing all around.
