Great Location, Dog Friendly, Clean and Comfortable
Pros:

Had such a lovely off season stay! My husband and I chose Gabriel’s because we wanted a pet friendly stay in a walkable location to Commercial street and the beach. It was everything we hoped for a more. We originally booked the Montgomery room and then was upgraded to Bella. At first I was a little disappointed it wasn’t the room we were expecting but it turned out to be perfect. We enjoyed that it was on the first floor, which made it much easier with a pup. The space was bright and clean. The manager, Patricia was fantastic! She made us feel very welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast was also very yummy. It was made to order and plentiful. During our stay breakfast consisted of pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon, English muffin, parfait, juice/water/tea/coffee. Overall a fantastic stay and especially great value during the off season! Will definitely be back!

Great weekend getaway
Pros:

A very cozy spot within a block of Commercial St shops and restaurants. Many places are closed this time of year, but some are open and there are many choices to go to eat. Patricia at Gabriel’s is an excellent host and took great care of us. The rooms are cozy, ours had a gas fireplace and fridge and microwave. The Great Room was open with kitchen facilities and a really nice ambiance. A good spot to sit and play board games or just to chill. We only stayed the weekend as a quick getaway, but will go back in the spring or fall when it’s not crazy busy as P-Town is during the summer.

Historic and great hospitality
Pros:

Before you book make sure you understand these are very old buildings with a rich history. You will not find pristine nor modern rooms, but quirky and character. We stayed in the Julia Child apartment. Let's start with the positives: The owner Elizabeth and staff are very welcoming and attend to any needs within seconds. Breakfast is wonderful with yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, sausage, bacon, potatoes etc. and eggs made to order. The location could not be better. One street behind Commercial and is very quiet sitting directly under Pilgram Monument. The grounds are quaint with paths winding to the different rooms. Well lit and you feel safe. The apartment has high ceilings, but there are a few places you need to watch as to not bump your head. There were two tv's and both worked well with tons of channels. WIFI was strong and no problems. The bed is comfortable, nice selection of pillows. The sauna was a nice extra and I used it several times. We had guests besides us and below and never heard anything. The water is evidently on tankless - we always had plenty of hot water. All in all a welcoming home after a day of sight seeing, biking and shopping.

A few things that could be considered negative: The furniture in our sitting area could be cleaned or updated. The sofa was pretty worn and had a few stains. The stainless steel table used as an island is starting to show it's age with rust. Although the walls are clean and bright, the bathroom had an area patched with a different color of paint used to touch up some type of problem. The only thing I would complain about would be the towels. They are very cheap and thin and have seen their better days.

All in all, it is a unique place with some interesting stories if you take time to talk with the owners. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
