Coconut Palm Inn is a magical place tucked in a quiet neighborhood on the bay side of Tavernier. The wildlife is abundant. The dolphin and manatees swim just off the dock. The sunsets are beautiful. Star gazing under the tiki hut at night with some wine and the resident cat 🐈⬛ is a lovely way to wrap up the day. And the smores bonfire after dark is a race to see who will eat all the treats, the guests or the raccoons! Tracy and Veronica were so helpful and accommodating. Our king size room was comfortable and we enjoyed our coffee each morning on our covered porch overlooking the bay. Bicycles, Paddle boards and kayaks are free to use during your stay. It’s just a 2 1/2 hour drive from our home in West Palm Beach but feels like we traveled to a tropical island in the Caribbean. It’s the perfect escape from the daily routine and if you go through the week you get a discount!
We had our wedding at the Coconut Palm Inn in January 2026, and renting out the entire venue was hands down the best decision we made. From the very beginning, Carin was fantastic—responsive, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. We even had to change our date, and she handled it seamlessly without any issues.
One of the things we loved most was being able to host everything in one place. We held our rehearsal on Friday and all of our wedding events on Saturday, which made the entire weekend feel relaxed and cohesive. Our friends and family also loved staying onsite—it made everything so much easier logistically and allowed everyone to truly enjoy the experience together.
The layout of the property created such a beautiful flow for the day. We had our cocktail hour and rehearsal on the north beach, the ceremony and reception on the south beach, and dinner in a separate area of the south beach. Even though everything was in one location, each part of the celebration felt unique and special.
Tracy was also amazing throughout the entire process. When some of our family members got stuck in Florida due to snowstorms up north, the team went above and beyond to accommodate them—helping extend their stays and ensuring everyone was comfortable.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Coconut Palm Inn for a wedding or special event. We have also been there several times on our own prior to having our wedding there and have always had an amazing exerperince!
We had an incredible stay this week at the Coconut Palm Inn. Our kids (ages 5 & 7) especially loved being able to run out the hotel room door and play freely on the grounds. Tons of things to do on property- kayaks, SUPs, ping pong, jenga, snorkel gear and lacrosse sticks. Also a perfect pool for lazy afternoons. Nightly smores and morning muffins were also delicious. We stayed at the Cheeca lodge two years ago and we agreed that this property was better. More low key, less crowded and the right price point. Highly recommend!!!
The beach and rooms are beautiful! They provided a campfire and stuff to make smores! We had a special request and they went out of their way to help us! It's really a magical location and the front desk people are amazing!!!
Nothing!
Personnel très accueillant et serviable. Extérieur super, piscine chauffée sympathique.
Chambre 17 très petite et bruyante. Literie molle.
C'est l'hôtel le plus beau et cosy de notre séjour en Californie mais également la chambre la plus inconfortable. Prix trop élevé pour la qualité de la chambre
The property is spectacularly kept and manicured. The staff is amazing.
This is silly but I would have loved a toaster in the room! LOL!!
Loved the boutique nature of this hotel - no bar, no restaurant, no frills but great friendly service and thoughtful touches.
Loved chilling on a hammock watching the boats go by.
Had a paddle out on the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards off the private dock.
Delicious muffins and apples delivered outside our room every morning (although do be quick or the birds will get them!) and complimentary coffee served at 8am at the Tiki on a morning.
Great little bar and food truck within walking distance on the harbour and great cafe at Cafe Moka over the road.
Used Froggys gym round the corner.
Would have been 5/5 but our room was really tiny. Bed very small for two people and no room to put our cases. I think we unfortunately had the smallest room in the complex.
Location and helpfulness and friendliness of staff
The property is beautiful and you can tell a lot of time and effort goes into keeping it that way.
It’s a small hotel where the stay feels very personal. There are so many things the staff does to make your vacation memorable- s’mores at night, muffins in the morning, multiple outdoor games for the whole family.
This was our first ever trip to the Keys and to the Coconut Palm Inn….and we will absolutely be planning another trip to stay there. The staff are personable, welcoming guests and connecting in a genuine way. They are friendly and helpful when it comes to any needs, questions, or planning ideas. The property is simply stunning and kept in immaculate condition, both inside the rooms and outside in the abundant and spacious spots to relax. Each morning brings a basket of muffins and fruit by your door. We were also fortunate enough to be greeted by a visiting dolphin each morning. Bikes, fishing gear, and kayaks are available for use. The two docks, as well as the private beach, offer gorgeous views and a variety of secluded places to relax. There’s a bonfire each evening following the incredible sunset. It even includes ingredients for s’mores. The heated pool feels amazing and is available to use 24 hours a day. If attention to detail is your thing…and you appreciate quality service, a cozy atmosphere, plus drop dead gorgeous views…this is truly the secret hideaway and hidden gem for you.
We had a great stay as a part of our honeymoon through the keys. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing. We stayed in the Henry Flagler suite and it was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We got a nice welcome drink and were greeted by the resident inn cat Coco! Overall it was a great value for the cost and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed.
tres bon accueil par le personnel qui était extrement gentil et qui a tout fait pour qu'on soit bien installé
les chambres au niveau de l'accueil sont un peu sombres
Great location & amenities. Quiet & relaxing. Manager was extremely accommodating & helpful.
Everything was exceptional. The only thing I wished our suite had was a 2nd trash can!
Piękne miejsce. Super obsługa. Przemiła atmosfera. Extra okolica
The Coconut Palm Inn is a 20 room botique hotel recommended by a friend. Even though we were inside their cancellation period, they were very accomodating when we asked to reschedule our stay due to 12 inches of snow in our home area that prohibited us from getting to our local airport. We were only there one night but it was fantastic! We were able to check in early and enjoy the afternoon at the pool, and watch the sunset from their pier. In the morning a basket of muffins and fruit are delivered to the patio of the room. We enjoyed our muffins and coffee on the patio overlooking the Florida bay prior to check out.
