Dated and a little pricey, but proximity to venues is great.
Pros:

Room was a great size, well appointed and had everything you need in the kitchenette.

Cons:

There were no USB ports for charging devices, except the one on the TV. The alarm clock was so old you couldn't set the alarm and there was an iPod dock on it. The utensils in the cooking drawer were very dusty, luckily we didn't need them. I also was not aware we would have to pay an extra $27 per night to park on site.

Take me out to the ballgame, via The North Shore Residence Inn!!!
Pros:

The location-a stone's throw from the ballpark-was incredible! The parking was sooooo convenient! The hotel team was quite friendly, super accommodating, and extremely professional.

Cons:

Not applicable as I liked everything!

The suite was nice, the stay was good, the breakfast was terrible.
Pros:

We were going to a Pirates game and the location was perfect

Cons:

Our family was not able to get breakfast because they ran out of food. I had 2 hard boiled eggs and one tasted rotten. And they ran out of coffee as well

Not what we expected; not what we paid for.
Pros:

We checked out and cancelled. Maintenance staff could not repair air conditioning and it was 97 degrees outside. Couldn’t sleep in room, due to stale warm air.

Staff could not offer us another room with working air conditioner - just a box fan…for a family of four.

Also due to a baseball game, we got the last parking space ( that we paid for) and we’re not guaranteed there would be a space left, when we went out for dinner.

Cons:

See above.

It’s great that it is right next to PNC Park but understand it is a 3 star hotel for a reason.
Pros:

The breakfast was good. However, it would be nice to have plain bagels with cream cheese.

Cons:

When I checked into my room, there was no remote for the tv and it didn’t work so I had to call maintenance and there was no mattress in the sofa bed so I had to also call for that.

Pros:

I came to see the Dodgers play the Pirates. The stadium was right next to the hotel

Cons:

I made duplicate reservations for the hotel through Booking.com. I experienced incredibly difficulty cancelling one of the reservations and have yet to receive a refund for the amount I paid in advance to secure the cancelled reservation

We enjoyed our stay at Residence Inn and we'll be back for future visits to Pittsburgh.
Pros:

I really liked the room; but the bathtub stopper was broken and the commode bowl had a stain. I liked the full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. The room was a great value; and I would definitely consider Residence Inn in th future.

Cons:

There was nothing that I didn't;t like.

This is not a Marriott, Worst experience ever!
Pros:

The breakfast only

Cons:

Halls had trash and were not vacuumed ,never received sofa bed sheets, blankets, pillows, fridge made no ice and staff provided no ice, sticky room floors, king comforter had holes throughout.Microwave beep nonstop needing maintenance and no one showed up. Water stains on ceiling and into recessed lights, dust everywhere and funky mildew smell. Ran out of toilet paper and none provided. Fro T desk was not answering phone. Main bathrooms had zero toilet paper also. Front desk was made aware of everything and zero attempts were made to correct anything. Worst experience for my family ever.

Worst hotel experience
Pros:

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is that it's right across the street from PNC Park.

Cons:

The convenience of being close to PNC Park became irrelevant because we were charged double for our room, the pool was down, and our room was dirty. We have paid a total of $632 for 1 room, for 1 night, and have yet to receive our refund, our deposit back, or a refund for the random $10 that they charged us, that no one could tell us what it was for.. We found a dirty sock in the pullout couch, stains on the cushions, and the middle of the couch caved in like it was broken. The bedding provided for the pull out couch was thin and scratchy, it was like pulling a Brillo pad apart. The lampshade in our room was all stained up. Throughout the hotel, you could see water damage on the ceiling. The breakfast provided was horrible. The muffins were hard, the sausage and hashbrowns were cold and the orange juice gave everyone an upset stomach. For the most part, the staff was nice, except for one female desk clerk on the evening shift. We let her know we were charged twice for our room and all she did was give attitude. Thankfully another woman was there and helped us to the best of her knowledge. We will never be back.
