Friendly staff but overpriced for a 3* hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is well located with a short walk to train, tram and bus stops. The staff were well intentioned, hard working and friendly. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The room we were first given had a curtain hanging off which could not be fixed. We had to suggest changing rooms. Having to book breakfast the night before to be eaten at a certain time and pay for it each time was irritating. Last serving of breakfast was 8:45am. Very small claustrophobic bar.

Ok but would not book again
Pros:

Walking distance to city centre, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast

Cons:

Pretty expensive for the quality you get. Lots of mold in the bathroom. Don’t feel so healthy to stay in that for a longer visit.

Excellent choice when in Edinburgh!
Pros:

This is a great, old building with all the ambiance you'd like in your Scotland trip. The rooms were large and comfortable and the location was perfect for catching a bus right outside the door and quickly getting to Princes St Gardens or the Royal Mile for a walkabout. Great place to stay without the crowds and noise of the city center. Highly recommend!
