Hotel Irma

Absolutely nightmare. Restaurant and bar was closed first 3 days of our stay . No ice available on property for drinks . WIFI WAS SPOTY AND WORKED 20 % percent of the time . NO HOT WATER FOR HALF OUR STAY . THE NIGHT CLERK AND SECURITY GUARD BOTH WERE ASLEEP AT NIGHT YOUNG MAN (securiy guard) WAS SLEEPING ON COUCH in lobby with BLANKET LIKE HE WAS Home. PITCH BLACK DARK AT FRONY DESK AND WHOLE FIRST FLOOR, NOT SAFE … Pita the hotel manger acted like she didn’t know about WiFi and hot water problems . Funny how multiple reviews have same complaints. We were offered a fee breakfast for our troubles, we spent double that hot spotting WiFi on on our phones, insulated my intelligence with her sales techniques.trying to get us to rebook. NO THANK YOU

It is in the heart of Playa Madera. A walk off property for access to the beach and boardwalk to coffe shops, restaurants, massage , tourist points of interest.

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Irma! 🌅🌴

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Irma, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome — warm, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile.

The hotel itself is charming, with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning views of the ocean. I especially loved the pool area — the perfect spot to unwind while watching the sunset. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches that made the stay even more enjoyable.

One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, and dining with a view of the bay made every meal feel special.

Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, Hotel Irma is a fantastic base. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back!

The hotel was great overall. We were upgraded to a beach view room at no extra charge upon our arrival. The room was clean and had a working ice cold A/C unit to beat the humid heat. The staff were really friendly and greeted us every time they saw us.

TV No apps available such as Netflix, prime video etc.

The staff is very friendly, happy to assist you with anything. The restaurant is clean, server was super, friendly, service was great. The manager also visited our table, she was very pleased, and beautiful. We will definitely stay here again.😊

Great value. Friendly and attentive staff.
Quiet and steps away from the beach. Gives you the option for breakfast included. Small pool for guests that has one of the best views of the bay. Beautiful sunsets from your room or down in the restaurant.Walkable to town along a paved walkway along the water. You don't have to break the bank to enjoy your time. Spend the day exploring some of the markets and enjoying bites of food along many of the side streets off of the beach area. If you don't want to stay in Ixtapa,(which is only a 10 min taxi ride away) you won't miss a thing in Zihuatanejo. Will return again and again.

This hotel is disgusting. Very outdated property. The property is in desperate need of renovation and repairs. Bathroom was very dirty. The bathroom mirror was broken. The door to the room was a patio door that had a horrible lock, it wasn’t secure at all. TV was horrible.

Stay was great. Just wish they had refrig and coffee makers in room.

We had an amazing stay during our ladies trip to celebrate my birthday. I came with my 87-year-old grandmother and my mom, and we stayed in Room 101, which had a fantastic view of Zihuatanejo Bay. The room was comfortable, and the AC worked so well we actually had to turn it off—it got that cold!

Guadalupe was always around, making sure everything was running smoothly, which we really appreciated. Christiano, Jessica, and Juanita took great care of us during breakfast. Their warm and friendly service made our stay even more special.

We booked the breakfast package and loved the variety it offered each morning. The pool was very clean and relaxing, and the views from both the pool and our room were absolutely breathtaking. We also tried the massages they offer—so worth it! Great service at a very reasonable price.

The walk to Playa Madera from the hotel is really nice too, offering easy beach access and more beautiful views along the way.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and welcoming getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Great staff. Very friendly and accommodating.
Restaurant food was quite good.
Improvements needed - small bar or counter top fridge in each room is needed. Just for items like water and maybe some fruit to have on hand for snacks at night etc and for kids.
Also some hooks in the room to hang wet towels, bathing suits overnight.
I have seen these two mentioned hundreds of times in the reviews of this property over a number of years and for some rA couple of basic and relatively inexpensive improvements would really enhance an already good/great experience.

We stayed at Hotel Irma for a week. Can’t recommend it highly enough — its location overlooking the stunning bay, its beautiful pools, its attentive and lovely staff. Clean, comfortable, welcoming. Well situated for ready access to all Zihua’s gorgeous beaches, as well as to local shopping.

Very nice . Quiet, good location, clean property.
